Just paid for 6 sessions, what’s people’s thoughts who have/ have had them, do they help you and keep you motivated?

Thanks
Amy

I started with a PT in 2016 and continue to this day. I was expecting to hate it and only did the sessions because I wanted to know how to use weights safely.

Be clear on what you hope to achieve so they can tailor their advice to you rather than just giving you a generic work out.

Bear in mind (since this is in the weight loss chat section as opposed to exercise) that diet is the major factor in weight loss. Exercise can help but maybe not as much as you think. For me it helped because I found I loved it and that motivated me to lose weight so I could do more stuff in the gym.

I'd be absolutely nowhere without him Blush

I paid for 8 initially and kept it going. Best money I've ever spent! I've gone from someone scared of the gym getting fatter and fatter every year to someone who squats and deadlifts heavy weights. I love it!

Definitely worth it if you are a beginner for getting to learn the correct form and how the machines etc work. I am confident training by myself in the gym and know how to put a training plan together but still use a PT from time to time to keep me accountable and also as I hate training legs and dont do it properly on my own. I need my PT to push me hard on leg day to get it done!
