nine months on, nine months off - is it true

After mine months of feeling like I am wearing a comedy deflated pregnancy suit I have suddenly dropped nearly 1/2 stone for no good reason. For the past nine months I have dieted to no avail, I have stuffed my face - nothing- I stuck at the same weight I was about 2 months after dd's birth. Hopefully the old nine month thing is kicking in. I might even do some exercise to encourage myself!

Here's hoping...

Dd 7 months and I'm getting fed up of not fitting into any of my clothes.

Doesn't make any sense why you would. Then again, it makes no sense how I've lost no weight despite doing much more excercise than before (pushing the pram, dancing baby to sleep etc).

I think it probably took me about 9 months to get back to pre pregnancy weight - but I didn't do anything other than lots of buggy pushing

I fell pregnant again when ds was just 7 months old so never experienced the weight coming back off. After dd was born I just seemed to balloon and balloon till I could no longer look at my reflection in the mirror. But at long last I'm doing something about it and, touch wood I seem to be winning

I didn't think it was true, but it seems to be absolutely the case with me. I breast fed for 7 1/2mths (DS stopped of his own accord)and during that time I retained 7lbs over my pre-preggers weight.Dieting did not shift it at all, so gave up. Since then have stayed off the scales, but recently tried on my old jeans and hey..they fitted...brillant! DS now 8 1/2mths, and much exercise is now required to tone up (sob sob) I think it's quite individual, but if it's not shifting whilst breast feeding it's obviously because your body needs the extra fat stores. Enjoy the extra calories while you can!!
