Hello!

Is there a weight loss thread for vegans / plant based / nearly vegans etc, on the go already please? If not, would anyone be interested in joining me on here?

I am in need of some healthier eating habits and a bit more exercise etc. I'm not doing a crash diet or anything extreme, but I'm trying to eat more healthily and no snacks in the week, except fresh fruit and veg if I'm desperate.

I'd love some company, if anyone would like to join me.

Anyone having any joy with weight loss. I've rigidly tracked on mfp 1500 calories for 20 days. Weighed and tracked everything I am also doing a moderate amount of exercise and nothing, nada not even a whisper of a loss. Anyone have any wisdom before I inhale dark choc. Thanks xx

Update - I have lost 2lbs at long blooming last, how is everyone else doing x

Crocodilian · 17/12/2020 19:40

Congratulations on your weight loss @Coconut80! 2lb is an excellent start! Well done for sticking to it. And thank you for being so nice to me Flowers

I've not even had time to step on a scale but I have been on two two-mile walls with the baby in the pram so I'm pleased with that, and I've eaten all healthy meals, just with too much snacking around the edges.

Coconut80 · 17/12/2020 20:58

Thankyou Croc it's taken long enough it feels. Don't step on the scale it's traumatic how little you lose after having the baby. I think your weight is to pot with fat, fluid and hormones. Good on you getting out with the pram. Are you finding yourself starving when breastfeeding x

Crocodilian · 20/12/2020 11:14

Yes, I'm hungry all the time! And I've always eaten too much sugar when I'm tired, and now I'm awake about 20 hours a day it's so hard not to cave in to biscuits! Worse at this time of year too as there are always tasty things in (we started on the Christmas cake yesterday...). Went on another walk though, and am feeling well enough in myself that I think I might try a run when I can carve out the time.

Hope it's all still going well for you @Coconut80

20 hours a day uurgh it's exhausting. I thin k when you are running on empty like that you just eat what you nerd and often it is carbs and sugar. Watch running as all your tendons are still soft from pregnancy I ran postnatally and ended up with neck surgery uurgh.

I am very off plan this weekend I am over collecting son from 1st year uni. Have eaten out and ten million calories.

I'm in Highland and gutted to be moved tier 1 to tier 4 it means all my group power classes and gym sessions can't happen won't help the lard kxxx

Crocodilian · 20/12/2020 11:33

Oh wow, thank you for the warning! Might wait until after my 6 week doctor's appointment before running as I'm very keen to avoid injury.

Ah have a lovely time with your son! Being off plan is very understandable given the circumstances. Sorry to hear about moving to tier four, that really sucks. It's such a miserable time. (Although I'm jealous you're in the highlands though! Spent so many holidays in various parts of the highlands as a child and loved it so much.)

Coconut80 · 22/12/2020 13:53

Oh interesting where did you holiday in the Highlands. I am north skye right on the Loch it is lovely and peaceful. Are you all set for Christmas. I was doing well but had 2 days of gorging everything including a box of marks vegan truffles I was minus 1,980 on mfp yesterday. Doing the 30 days of yoga with adrienne which is really relaxing and just about to go for a walk it's freezing and sunny. Are you heading out with the pram later. How many times is she awake in the night its hard going xx

Coconut80 · 27/12/2020 19:55

How are you all doing. I have had a week of eating everything and anything I fancied. I am ready tomorrow to get back on track only because I have eaten all the treats in the house. I will weigh in tomorrow uuurgh x
