I'm starting tomorrow. I need to lose a good couple of stones and generally sort myself out.

I need help!

How did your first day go? I need to lose weight and generally sort myself out - skin, hair, everything!

IsAWookieABear · 03/11/2020 11:37

I'll join you if I may! I want to use this lockdown to give myself a complete overhaul. Weight loss and eating healthily are my main goals, but agree skin and hair need sorting too. Completely wasted the last lockdown, it's not going to happen this time. (She says).

Hoping this keeps me accountable! How are you doing so far?

babyguffingtonstrikesagain · 03/11/2020 11:47

Can I join? I started running again in lockdown#1 which was really good for me but I struggle to squeeze it in during the winter because our local area isn't very well-lit and so I don't like running after dark. Also having lots of work done in the house so can't exercise here during the day.

I'd like to lose a stone though.

What is everyone doing about eating? I'm planning on sticking to 3xmeals per day, only fruit for snacks. And pudding/booze at the weekend only.

I started several weeks ago but have failed massively. I need to lose the 4 stone I put on over the past year. So I'll join you

I’ll join you! I am really trying to work on my self care, I suck at it. I’m off my ADHD meds so I’m losing focus but trying to keep some of the habits I was working on.

Weight wise it’s harder because they helped my appetite/cravings reduce a bit and now I think about food more again. I was doing well with 16:8 for a bit, so I’m going to try and do that although usually I wasn’t doing more than 14h fasts. Our entire family diet needs a massive overhaul though, I have two autistic DCs who have very restrictive tastes and we’ve got in such a rut. We rely far too much on convenience food and it’s so boring! We should go on Eat Well For Less TBH 😳

We’ve come up with a new routine generally and I’m hoping that with a month of no rushing around to dance classes etc we can at least get in better habits and have better family meals.

Exercise will hopefully be ok - I did pretty well exercising in lockdown and got fitter than I’d been in years (I have ME and fibromyalgia) - although I’ll miss the gym being open I was probably doing better with smaller bursts of exercise every day than going to a couple of sessions or classes a week, although the break from home was good :( I will still have the nursery run though which I share with DH so hopefully I can get out once a day.

Sorry I’ve waffled on so much 😳 I think I will make a habit tracker for the 28 days and include lots of things to look after myself.

Hi everyone, I've not been able to log in for a couple of days, I've just changed my password and I'm back in!

Thanks for joining me.

I've been good on the food front so far. I went into town earlier before lockdown and treated myself to some new beauty products. I am taking control of myself Grin

My starting weight on Sunday was 11st 10

My starting weight is also 11st 0lb!

babyguffingtonstrikesagain · 03/11/2020 16:19

Ah I misread. Anyway, I think I weigh 11st. We've had to move loads of things for the building work and the bathroom scales have gone AWOL...

IsAWookieABear · 03/11/2020 18:43

I haven't weighed myself yet! I want to do this sensibly, as in 2lbs a week. Over four weeks that's half a stone. I usually set out with the insane notion I can lose that in a day, then get annoyed when I don't, then treat myself to biscuits to cheer myself up.
