Hi would love to chat to anyone out there who has done the LL programme and maintained their weight loss. I lost 4 stone in all and finished the maintenance programme 6 weeks ago. So far am doing ok. I sometimes have a blow out on a weekend but then get back on track during the week. Would love to hear from anyone else on how thye are managing and swap tips and ideas etc.

Well done SecondhandRose! Really pleased for you.

Have fallen off the wagon big time this last week - have been out everynight and drinking - and then sensible eating goes out of the window.

Please encourage me to get back on and shift that last 10 lbs.

Bump

Is there anyone out there?

Tenney73 · 23/11/2007 20:46

Hey Dalek how are you doing? Sorry for not replying sooner but have had a mental week. Hope you have had a better week this week. It's so hard to re focus isn't it when you fall off the wagon. I daren't even weight myself at the mo cos I am way off track. On mon am really gonna give it my best shot before Christmas. I just need motivating again like you. How are you finding the packs?

I am going to try and start again on Monday as well - let's try and motivate each other. Unfortunately the packs taste disgusting to me but needs must eh? The bars aren't too bad but the soups are starting to make me heave. The milkshakes are ok but I generally prefer savoury to sweet -Good luck for Monday _ I am not around this weekend but will try and check in on Monday

Well I weighed myself this morning after my weekend away and I have put on 7 lbs in two weeks - I need to get a grip.

Have started back on LL today - will probably do three food packs and a small meal a day!

How are you all getting on?

Tenney73 · 27/11/2007 20:42

Hey thats not too bad I have been known to put on half a stone in a week. I'm sure your councillor will be able to encourage you and it sounds sensible having a small meal aswell as your food packs. I am not doing too good. I started really well yesterday but as soon as I went back to work today I just basically started picking and before I knew it I was munching on pringles and cakes with my work collegue. I am so disappointed with myself. Tomorrow I am going to the good food show and so will be nibbling all day there so think this is going to be another bad week for me. Oh well, I will draw a line under it and start again on thurs with the hope that I might be able to do more exercise at the weekend to burn all these excess calories. It's scary but I am recognising the signs of how I put weight on before so like you I need to put a stop to it. All the best for this week, bet you will soon shift those 7lbs.

Hi everyone - how are you all doing? I have not gone back to LL but my weight seems to have stabilised but unfortunately it is 11lbs heavier than I would like to be. More worrying is that my jeans are extremely tight and I have the most impressive muffin top!

I too am recognising the signs of bad eating habits from before - eating in front of the open fridge, nibbling everything in sight, a quick snack of cheese and biscuits to reward myself for doing the ironing - you know the sort of thing.

Hope you are all doing bette.

xx

Hi Everyone - do not feel much like a maintainer today - I am exactly a stone heavier than I was at my lowest weight - what should I do? Go back to LL? I know it works or should I try a slower but more sensible route - do not want to be fat again.

SecondhandRose · 06/02/2008 18:49

I am on management. Lost 3 stone in 12 weeks last year and finished management this week. All OK, working hard.

Emeraldcat · 18/06/2018 22:19

Yes I had been on a LL diet about 8 years ago, I kept the weight off for about 2 years. Only when my Dr cut my meds did the weight start going on. I have an under active thyroid. I do not convert T4 to T3 so I have T3 as a separate medication. Back to LL this week and have lost 8 pounds.

I find this is the only weight loss prog. with my illness that works for me. I did Slimming world and after 6 months I was 5 pounds heavier.
I am keen again to get down 3 stone but I would like some advice on keeping it off. I did the maintenance part, read recently that Jackie Llewellyn went about constructing her own Maintenance programme with protein veg and fruit, keeping the carbs to a minimum or not at all. Has anyone got any advice for me please>
