2 small changes from today

  1. Protein and banana shake for breakfast (~200cals) instead of granola and milk (600+ cals)
  1. 30 min (minimum) walk every day.

Got to sort out this corona chub and I’m hoping this will create enough of a deficit to get things going.

  1. Back to gym
  2. Meal plan so can eat sensibly

I'm aiming to make one small change every week, then add another every week following, until at some point I am a brand new me by some point in 2030 at this rate

I started this as a New Year's resolution and it worked well until I was ill (over half term, as bad luck would have it) and then of course there was the hell of lockdown... so essentially I'm back where I started.

First change for this week was 3 x cardio exercise per week

Next change (from Monday) will be meal planning

How are you both getting on?

Last week did not go well for me but started again on Sunday so I’m 2 days in.

I’ve ordered myself some new protein powder flavours as I usually just use chocolate and strawberry ones but have ordered a selection from Myprotein to test out which should be arriving today.

I already meal plan and do planned exercise regularly, but a few tweaks to the meal plan will be made in a few weeks once these first 2 changes have become routine.

I also started tracking again on MFP yesterday.

AF week for me this week so all my plans have gone out of the window Confused why do I forget that all I'll want to do is curl up on the sofa and eat chocolate?!

On the bright side I'm working through the pigsty of a house (lockdown + small DC took its toll!) and will feel far more organised/ ready to make changes once that's done. I'm doing 12K+ steps per day but not much else at the moment.

(PS @BasinHaircut I did indeed have a basin haircut in about 1983, my DF fancied himself as the new Vidal Sassoon. He was not!)

AF for me this week too. Yesterday I was ok but today I had to have a snack this afternoon. I blame the new protein shakes we ordered to try (Myprotein). They are so much less filling than the ones I usually just buy in Tesco. DH though so too and we were both starving mid-morning and consequently had an early lunch.

Snack was 25g of cheese, small pot of houmous and carrot sticks. So I chose healthily but it came to just over 300kcals! Did the trick though.

I used to sport a Basinhaircut too Grin

Went to the gym 4 times last week, really wanted to go on Friday but had pressing work stuff today. Meal planning is really helping but did go a meal out yesterday as a treat and ate sensibly.

Well done with the gym @KurriKawari!

I think I used to have the cheaper protein shakes too @BasinHaircut, they didn't taste bad at all from what I remember. I used to add a bit of peanut butter and vanilla essence, maybe cocoa powder and banana, yum.

Basin haircuts rule, obviously Grin
