I’m 20 st 4 ( cries in shame) and from today DH & I are following the NHS app, 1400 calories a day for women. Looked at lots of other choices noon, SW, WW, body coach & it seems that they’re all fairly similar but the NHS app is free.

As is My Fitness Pal for logging calories, just take it a pound at a time. You can do this!
I spent years feeling miserable, with my weight creeping up. If I had thought about losing 3 stone I would have been defeated before I began, just focus on little bits at a time.
I made it to my target weight and beyond -and so can you-calorie counting is now a way of life.
I wished I had apps available to me in my 20/30’s, my wardrobe would have had different clothes choices in that’s for sure!
If you are on instagram this guy is very good & talks a lot of sense. Good luck.

The nhs plan is quite good. 1400 calories a day with meal suggestions on their app. They encourage daily exercise too.
Ive looked into following it too but want to kick off with low carb first to try and kick my carb addiction. Hopefully I’ll be able to eat carbs in sensible way without it kicking off cravings for more carbs and then be able to have a more balanced approach.

Well done to those of you who’ve managed & kept off their weight gains.

I‘be just seen the NHS app doesn’t track calories so am using another app too. I’ve managed to put on a stone since lockdown, think we’ve overindulged in the eating out to help out scheme!
