Noom - no individual coaching and no "group"

Can it be right? I paid over £90 after the free trial thinking that's when the promised "individual" coaching would kick in.

Since then I've had two (what seem like automated bot) questions along the lines of "why do you think that is?" but two days after I had messaged and not actually responding to what I had written.

Oh, and it's still "trying to add me" to the group after 3 weeks.

I like the interface and have learned a few things from the general daily news feed (though all the hashtags and American references are annoying) but is this really all it is?

I've now read a few threads from others who felt it was a bit meh but I don't feel I'm getting what I've paid for :-(

I need some feedback/camaraderie/personal encouragement. Not a lot, just once a week would be cool, but there's zero.

I found noom terrible. Just a generic 1200 cal a day diet. Just did the free trial but I had no individual coaching and just the bot thing you talk about. Unfortunately it's not hard to find a lot of people saying the same online.

I highly recommend the James smith academy if you’re interested in weightloss, personalised coaching and fitness! Very responsive check ins and personalised fitness plans. It’s also free to try out.

Yup, #whatevesok I think I've been fleeced Confused

Amusingly, I emailed them to query the lack of feedback / individualised goal-setting / mentoring that was promised and got a generic spiel back about goal coaches, goal specialists etc. I was able to respond that actually I had had none of that!

Looks like the James Smith Academy is more expensive still ... about £40 per month ... wow!

Only advice I can give is to try to get a refund evidencing that you've had no individual support.

whatevesok yes, I've exchanged a few emails with them after the first automated "sorry you're not feeling happy" guff and they've acknowledged I haven't had any individual feedback and said they'll set that up by Thursday or Friday. The thing is, I do want the support!

We shall see ... !
