How much do you weigh?

I know its relative, but I'm on a journey to get back to size 10. Right now I'm aiming for a healthy BMI and I've gone from 186lbs to 168lbs so far (healthy BMI would put me at 159lbs)

I'm a mostly comfortably size 12 but only just. A big meal would make Jean's uncomfortable. I'm just looking for a guide for the next goal.

In case anyone is interested, I'm on 1220 kcal a day, doing Chloe Ting's summer shred challenge, running twice a week and cycling at least 20km every day.

I am 5’7 and I am 139lbs. I wear a size 12. Would have to lose another 7lbs to get into a 10 I reckon.

I have an hourglass shape

Busylizzie367 · 29/07/2020 17:57

I am 5 foot 7 and 148lbs (10.5 stone). I'm a size 12. Looking to lose about a stone as I feel best at 9.5 stone.

Ingridla · 29/07/2020 18:01

I'm 5'5 and 10st and a size 12. I desperately want to lose enough to get into a couple of dresses I've never been able wear which I love which I know sounds vain and pathetic but there it is.

Bobbiepin · 29/07/2020 18:07

Wow thank you, this seems to be a lots smaller (lighter?) than I was expecting. Got some more work to do!

I'm 5'8 and weigh 9 stone 4 pounds. I'm trying to get down to 8 13 but struggling. I'm a big size 10.

You could try doing a fat percentage calculator. Here is one:

It’s amazing the variation of sizes even at similar weights and heights! Interesting!!

Chickydoo · 29/07/2020 18:27

5ft 7 & 8st 7lbs
I'm in my 50's, was always around 8 stone in my 20's & 30's
Size 10 is a bit big on top sometimes, however I prefer clothes a little looser

verypeckish · 29/07/2020 18:29

5'7" and years ago I was size 10 and about 9 stone. Then for some years I was a 12 and 10st-ish. Quite broad-shouldered though. I've always had issues with sleeves being too short.

Me too! I seem to be at the heavier end at over ten stone but I really am a size 8-10. I was a definite size 8 until I tipped 10 stone! Even when I was very thin and looked unhealthy (I was a size 6 but looked gaunt) I was still 9 stone. I must have heavy bones 😂😂😂
Fink · 29/07/2020 19:08

I'm 5' 6'' and usually 10 1/2 stone (I think that's 147lb). I'm slightly over at the moment, nearer to 11 stone. At my normal weight I'm comfortably a size 10 in most brands. Like you, I don't carry it well if I'm below 10 stone. I've been that weight before, and while it's healthy on a BMI chart, I look awful with it. I'm much happier between 10 - 10 1/2 st.

Alloverthegrapevine · 29/07/2020 19:15

In 5'7" and exactly 10st.

I'm not sure how you define size 10 these days. Most of my clothes are size 10, in some shops an 8 is too big, especially on the top but on the measurement charts I'm a 12.

I run and have low body fat, so probably slimmer than my weight suggests.

Minikievs · 29/07/2020 19:20

I'm almost 5 8 and a size 10. I weigh about 9 st 7 but I have teeny tiny tits

veryvery · 29/07/2020 19:26

Oh forgot to say, when I posted the fat calculation, I'm a size 10 and 9 st 12 last time I weighed myself.

thedaytodayyesterday · 29/07/2020 19:29

I am 5ft 7 and only went down to 8 stone 8 once during a health scare (heart related) which led to a nervous breakdown and I looked absolutely skeletal. I am now 10 stone 9 and feel great and am happy with my weight. I'm a size 8 or 10, I was size 6 or less at 8 stone 8. I don't understand why I weigh so much though? Ahh well. I'm happy and healthy so I guess that's all that matters.

Bobbiepin · 30/07/2020 00:38

@MrsR87 I think it's more muscle mass related. Maybe you have more muscle than fat which is why you weigh more. Whenever I've dropped below 10st I look ill so maybe working on the muscle is more important for me now. Despite the weight I've lost the measurements on my legs haven't changed so mot likely to be fitting into skinny jeans any time soon!!

129 lb
I'm a 10/12

veryvery · 30/07/2020 19:17

People have different sized frames too. I'm quite small boned as in narrow from shoulder to shoulder and from hip bone to hip bone. I can carry quite a high percentage of fat (according to my scanning scales anyway) at a relatively low weight and dress size. According to my scales my bone mass is slightly less than average although I've had proper bones scans (during cancer treatment)at the hospital and they had no concerns,

ILoveStickers · 30/07/2020 19:21

I'm 5'7 and was a size 10 (in tops/skirts/dresses) when I was 10.5 to 11 stone.

I have never been size 10 in jeans, even when I was a teenager and weighed about 9 stone! That's the size of my hips, though.

Ploughingthrough · 31/07/2020 14:11

I'm 5 ft 6 and 9 stone 3 or 4. I am a comfortable size 10 now. But anything above 9 and a half stone and I start to feel a 10 is a bit tight.
