If your tummy looked like this after having children, was it ever flat again?

I had my 2nd baby by c section 7 months ago and I still have a pouch of fat under my belly button and don't really have a waist!

If your tummy still looked like this after having a baby, did you ever get a toned, defined waist again? How did you do it? I know it will never be quite the same as pre pregnancy but I'd like some hope that there is some hope of it improving

You're only 7 months pp and slim, mine flattened out by about just over a year after dc2. I wouldn't say mine is flat or with a six pack at all but it's much better than before kids and in proportion. For me it was when my core was back to full strength by doing core strength exercises from the physio and lots of busy days out with two toddlers. Would you say you're back to having good core strength? For ages after my second I felt so weak in my back and stomach muscles and would get back ache so working on those muscles naturally helped pull my tummy in. Pregnancy can ruin your natural centre of balance and muscle strength for a while

Thank you, this is reassuring! I'd be happy just to be in proportion, I'm not expecting to look the same as pre pregnancy. I got pregnant 10 months after having my first baby so I never really got back to normal in between. I felt like I had no core strength at all for a while and was getting terrible back ache, I started the mutu system (I have been a bit stop start with it and I know I need to properly commit!) and have definitely felt stronger and less achy, so hopefully if I carry on with that it will help. I just want to feel like I don't still look pregnant!

Yes, but seemed to take about a year if not more, I started reducing my calories (sensibly) and running, I didn't do any specific toning exercises.

You still look slim

Are you breastfeeding still? I did not lose the last stone or so until I stopped. And then gradually my belly got flatter

I’ll never have a six pack, as I like food, but when my kids were 5 and 3 my body was back to (almost) normal

It takes time

I'd be doing backflips of happiness if my tummy looked as amazing as yours, and I haven't even had babies! Honestly you look great :)

Yes. Two babies (no c section so don't know about that). Took 2-3 years to settle, and I didn't do anything

And your belly looks good, honestly. Expect it'll be quicker. I went from 8st to 11.5st in pregnancy

Mine is way worse than yours. DC is nearly 3 so obviously it isn’t going to get better. I’m saving for a tummy tuck.

OP, you look amazing. My stomach area is much, much worse after 3 kids. It is clear to me at 38, mine will never be good again. But yours is nothing like mine, you look fantastic and I honestly can’t see a problem with your tummy.
