Been on the 16/8 / 18/6 diet since the middle of May and I've lost 6kg...all good. 18 kg still to loose.....

Just making my salad ...honest opinions Is it too big??

...Still to add a drizzle of yoghurt for dressing. This will be the last food I eat until 12 noon.

Well done you on losing 6kg!
That’s a loooong time to go before your next meal though. I have no clue about the calorie content of kidney beans or feta (is it?) or the yogurt your going to put on but I think your plate of salad veg looks good, not too big for a main meal. I hope you enjoyed it.

Gingerkittykat · 13/07/2020 18:10

Nope, not too big.

You could always put the details into MFP to see what it shows in terms of calories.

GreyGardens88 · 13/07/2020 18:13

It looks very healthy, I admire your willpower if I had that at 4pm I would be ravenous by 9pm and would probably cave and have a plate of spaghetti

ilovespinach · 13/07/2020 18:33

It was very good thank you Smile It's an hour later here so I ate at 5. I don't normally buy low fat versions but it was low fat feta and only a tiny bit of low cal yoghurt....I'm used to not eating/snacking in the evenings and I'm not a big breakfast eater so I'll be ok until lunchtime tomorrow.

Thanks for the feedback.... I was paranoid my salad was too big....... Grin

You were paranoid your salad was too big??
Are you ok?

ncqtime · 13/07/2020 18:38

Not familiar with this diet but that's insane and the sort of thing I might have done as a teenager with a bit of an eating disorder. Bit of wholemeal pitta bread with that and bowl of porridge in the morning...

Theyweretheworstoftimes · 13/07/2020 18:51

Add more protein you will stay fuller for longer. Boiled egg, low on calories but will fill you up.

FilledSoda · 13/07/2020 19:14

I'd have an avocado and some pickles with that.

Shedtheload · 13/07/2020 19:55

Vegetables like lettuce and tomato are virtually calorie free so you don’t need to worry about a salad consisting mainly of them being too big. If anything that dinner seems a bit on the low side as there are no carbs and if the cheese and dressing is low fat, not much fat either. With that amount to lose, you can afford to eat more calories, especially in the beginning. If you start hardcore drastic cutting now, you’ll have nothing left to cut when you get closer to your goal and the weight begins to stall.

Lamazey · 13/07/2020 20:02

Definitely not too small. I'd add an egg or half an avocado or some almonds....

MarkRuffaloCrumble · 13/07/2020 20:03

You might find you lose the weight more quickly if you don’t limit yourself so much. Sounds counter-intuitive, but if you go super low calorie, low carb and IF, you run the risk of your body panicking and stalling. Pick one or maybe two of those things and add in some low cal carbs, some low carb calories or an extra meal maybe?!

Lamazey · 13/07/2020 20:04

Not too big that should say, sorry

ilovespinach · 13/07/2020 20:31

Thanks for all the tips.....guess it is a bit ridiculous asking if my salad is too big.

I'm doing the 18/6 and am making my main meal at lunchtime. I work in a kitchen so I normally have a small portion of whatever we cook at lunchtime. Today was cabbage rolls filled with wholemeal couscous, roasted beetroot and yoghurt dip.

Good point about cutting too much at teatime. I normally have a Skyr yoghurt as well but I didn't today.

It looks delicious. I can't imagine there are many calories because it's mostly just veg.

plonkie · 13/07/2020 20:52

That would be great to break your fast (easy on your stomach) but its very calorie light. I do IF too and I'd be starving if I had that as my last meal lol. I'd go for more protein and and a starchy carb... you will know from how you feel though.
