My husband has just been diagnosed T2 diabetes and bought an all-singing set of scales. I am 9st7, BMI 23.5 but my body fat is 34% which is in the obese range. I'm no body builder but I walk lots, run Parkruns (pre-covid) and am reasonably fit. I don't feel like a big blob of lard! What's occurring?
I can probably do with shedding half a stone but I wasn't expecting that.

This could be me exactly! I know I dont drink enough water.

Average is 25-31% so I wouldn’t worry too much

It takes several months to move the hydration info. It’s not a one day or one week fix.

This is me OP, I am slim with skinny arms and legs but carry any excess weight around my middle, if the fat was more evenly distributed it would be fine but it’s concentrated around my organs which puts me in the obese category as far as health implications too.
