What are you looking forward to once you have lost weight?

I'm motivating myself by making a mental list of the good things to look forward to when I have lost weight. As well as the usual 'being healthier' and 'looking good in nice clothes' I am especially looking forward to not having to hold back my stomach whilst attempting to tend to my bikini line Grin. I'm imagining myself as a svelte gazelle who can bend and move without bits of body getting in the way.

What are you looking forward to? What else can I look forward to? If you've already lost weight have you had any unexpected positives to share with those of us still on the journey?

Wearing shorts in public without feeling self concious and resisting the urge to run home crying to change.

Ye I tend to change into trousers or a long dress if leaving the house. Bring on shorts without shame!

I'm looking forward to trying running again. I have dodgy knees, but hoping when I'm lighter I might be able to do the occasional park run.

Fitting into some lovely clothes I have that are currently too small and buying a pair of trousers I've been eyeing up (I could get them now in a larger size but then they'd be too big when I lose weight, so holding off to buy them in a smaller size)

Yes yes to exercise being easier. I have thought the same. Press ups must be easier when you're pushing 3 stone less! I'm also looking forward to yoga being easier - same issue of bits of body getting in the way.

I also want to buy myself a good pair of Levi's as a treat.

tucking my top into my jeans! I really hate that baggy top over skinny jeans look and I've been wearing dresses more this summer to avoid it.

Feeling more comfortable in hot weather.

Less thigh chaffing.

Feeling more energetic with my children.

Fitting comfortably into existing clothes. Digging out my skinny clothes...hiding at the back of the wardrobe - I refuse to bin them!

Recognising myself in shop windows and not wondering who that fat woman is who sort of resembles me!

Feeling more sexually attractive - not that DH is bothered, never comments and it hasn’t presented any issues in that area but I would love to feel less self-conscious with the lights on!

Ye I don't tuck any tops in at the moment as any waistband is doing a great job of accentuating my fat lower belly.

I am also looking forward to not getting a sinking feeling when someone takes a picture. Actually the motivation for me losing weight now is seeing a photo of me with friends and seeing the bare truth of how much bigger I am to them. Definitely looking forward to not being the fat friend!

I'm looking forward to wearing shorts and shorter skirts, fed up of feeling self conscious about my chunky legs all the time.
