Smart weighing scales with body fat calculator

I started on a weighloss journey earlier in the year. My diet has been cleaned up big time with loads of veg and drinks of water.
I started using the health and fitness app on my phone. I bought some home exercise equipment. I do a lot of walking. I bought a smart band.

I'm liking this journey. I'm down some weight. My clothes are bigger. Apparently I'm building muscle too from home exercise.

Just wondering if a smart scales with body fat monitor would be another useful tool to add into my mix. Something that would work with my phone app.

I'm eyeing these up, they have a linked app that gives lots of data. Fitbit also do a set that connect to your Fitbit app if you use it, but they are expensive

Not sure they are worth it or at all accurate

My gym has one there and it tracks everything but also asks you questions and still not sure how accurate that is

Also ask yourself how knowing this would improve your fitness journey

I find the body fat calculators on domestic scales utter crap. Mine tell me I’m 12% body fat - I can assure you I’m not!

There’s no way they can accurately calculate your body fat %, that I can figure out.

I’d question how knowing your body fat % will help you - what’s the action that results from knowing that data? It’s something that I’ve been interested in but I’ve concluded that I can see my body and how it has changed, so knowing my body fat isn’t particularly useful. Just my thoughts.

Thanks for all the replies. It's too late now next I ordered a scales on Amazon because they were on offer.

I want a digital scales that will hook up to the phone. I'm having a hard time reading the scales. I'm not too sure of what the reading is on my current scales. I nearly have to bend to see the results which also throws off the reading. I want more precision on my readings.

I would also like to monitor if I'm building muscle. There's a huge improvement in my clothes for sure. I'm absolutely delighted with the results. The current scale readings I'm getting can be bizarre. I stalled for a few weeks on the scales sitting at about 15 stone 7/8 pounds. I stepped on the scales this morning and it looks like 15 stone 1 pound. Delighted.
