I’m looking forward to fitting in the bath properly!

Not worrying about taking too much room when seated next to others, like at the school play.

Having lost weight (with still 2 stone left to go!) the one side affect I'm enjoying is not being noticeable.

I was so big it was noticeable, as in people would make nasty comments and I would have qualified for bariatric surgery on the NHS.

I'm now a 14-16 and I don't stand out for being fat anymore, I'm an average size and it's brilliant. I don't worry about people looking at me and judging me as I look like most other people instead of abmormally large.

  • Looking nice in my clothes.
  • Not sweating like a beast on hot/ warm days.
  • Not having to pull my top away from my blubbery belly every time I sit down.
  • Being able to wear shorts without them gathering up at my crutch because my thighs are so fat & rub together, it pushes the shorts up.

To name but a few.

I have a little over a stone left to lose (which will be 3 stone in total). These are some things I look forward to when I reach my goal:

  • wearing all the nice clothes sitting in my wardrobe that haven’t fitted for several years
  • being able to wear a sleeveless top without feeling embarrassed
  • not having my belly get in the way when tying my shoes (this already no longer happens!)
  • not getting crippling migraines (they disappeared once I lost 5% of my body weight and started exercising daily)
  • not getting out of breath running up the stairs at work
  • knowing I am a healthy weight, not obese (am currently in overweight category, down from obese)

Dressing in clothes that I actually like instead of only wearing the same two tops over and over (that I don't even like) just because they 'cover' what I want to try and hide. I get this anxious feeling if I try and wear anything else at the moment unfortunately - it's like a weird security blanket. There not even nice tops and they don't make me look any smaller but it's a mental thing. I'll be ditching those horrible tops as soon as I can! Lol

Also being able to easily crouch down and get back up without feeling like I'm hauling a huge weight.

Not having to struggle finding the largest size jeans at primark, wearing t-shirts without worrying about my Home Simpson gut on display. Being confident enough to wear just a bathing costume, reduced thigh chafing

Getting into a gorgeous winter coat that I can’t get into now! No I won’t buy a new coat this year I’ll bloody well fit into the one/(or several very expensive) ones I have !

@Hippofrog
I bought a beautiful Calvin Klein winter coat in TK MAXX maybe 3 years ago ... it's never even seen the outside
Hopefully this year it can do its job x

Sewing my own clothes. I have been dressmaking for a year but have yet to make myself anything.

All of the styles I like and would want to invest time and money into making only look nice on a slim figure. I have dozens of patterns and gorgeous fabrics just sat in a drawer.

I feel so annoyed with myself that my weight is holding me back in every aspect of my life!

I haven’t started dieting yet, but hoping that my list might inspire me to start

  • not feeling like a beached whale in the bath
  • Knowing I’m taking Positive steps to improve my health
  • more enthusiasm to go out without worrying what I’m going to wear and knowing I’ll look rubbish in everything
  • being able to keep up with colleagues when out and about
  • buying clothes I genuinely like without just buying something cheap and shapeless that will cover my stomach

So many things!

  • Wearing all the clothes I have that haven't fit me years. I have lots of lovely summer clothes but am currently stuck wearing two pairs of shorts and three t-shirts as they're all that fits.
  • Feeling healthier and stronger
  • Having less wobbly bits which make me so self conscious

I'm liking to be WfH until next year and it would be wonderful to be able to go back into the office wearing some of the lovely work dresses I have that I've not worn in years especially a couple of beautiful Calvin Klein dresses.
