Did you have loose skin after losing weight?

I’m 3st heavier than I was pre-baby. But the more weight I lose, the worse I look (stomach in particular). Everyone else who’s lost weight looks great and never mentions problems like this. What was your skin like after losing weight?

I’m currently trying to lose weight, need to lose about 6 stone from my start weight and starting to worry about this so I will be watching with interest!

Yes. I've lost 7 stone (put a few back on whilst ill last year but it's coming off again now). Honestly yes, I did. Yes at some points it was unsightly, especially on my inner thighs. But honestly, I let the fear of loose skin stop me from losing weight for years and I regret it. Firstly because it wouldn't have been so bad if I were younger, probably. And secondly because actually, it's not a problem. I've never fancied skimpy clothes - I prefer knee length skirts and shorts, and elbow or below sleeves - generally quite vintage style. So my so called problem areas - stomach, thighs, upper arms... They aren't on show anyway.

I can't tell you how much better I feel. When I was bigger I skied at lot with my family and it was such hard work. Stiff and sore, could barely walk the next day, struggled to bend over to do up my boots, which needed extensions to get them to fit my calves. Since losing weight I went again (after a 12 year gap) and it was a breeze. Normal fittings on boots, plenty of flexibility, no sore muscles... I'm so much fitter and daily life is miles better.

Honestly, don't let fear hold you back. Live your life!
