Help! Fat loss AND Muscle loss?

For the last couple of months, I've been on this 1,000 kcal, low carb and high protein (about 100g/day) diet. I've weight trained 3 times a week with some long walks.

I've lost about 15 pounds so far. But about 2 pound of this is muscle lost (the rest 13 pounds of fat loss).

Although I'm happy about the fat loss I've achieved, I'm also concerned about this bit of muscle I'm losing. I expect to be gaining or at least maintaining muscle..

I've been reading a lot about fat loss and muscle gain and following all the common advice. And I'm confused.

Could you shed some light on what I may be doing wrong here?

Should I weight train more than 3 times a week? (I've read not to?) Should I eat more and lose fat at a slower pace? Or is it quite inevitable that there's some muscle loss on fast weight loss scheme, therefore I should just keep doing what I'm doing until I reach my target weight (another stone to go) before focussing more on gaining muscle?

Thank you!
