Liposuction

Hi,

I'm considering liposuction on my lower legs, calves and ankles. They're huge and I think I have lipodema.
I've found a dr in London who does the lipo under local anesthetic which I much prefer the sound of.

I'm looking to see if any one has had this or similar done and have a few questions:

How much did you pay?
We're the results worth it?
Have the results been long lasting?
Has water retention been an issue following the lipo?

Many thanks in advance x

Following, as it's something I'd love. I believe it's a very difficult area to operate on

Anyone?

Hi, am booked in for knee liposuction on 2 July in a London clinic. Will keep you posted if you'd like. Kx

@Kookoo42 would you be happy to do before and after pics?

Kookoo42 · 21/06/2020 12:20

yes but won't be for a good few weeks as it takes a while to calm down.

Yes please - that's the clinic I'm looking at too.

Did you manage to get your procedure?

FelicityPlum · 01/01/2021 22:35

Well I've had liposuction but only as part of a tummy tuck - I had 2 litres (the safe maximum) removed from my flanks/waist

It hurts! A lot! And the bruising is impressive. It does, however, pass within weeks

A word of warning if you have lipodema - you need a specialist plastic surgeon to carry out the procedure so you need to ask if they're skilled at performing it on lipodema patients - a lot of plastic surgeons aren't

ihatethecold · 02/01/2021 19:33

How much did it cost you @FelicityPlum
If you don’t mind me asking.

FelicityFeathers · 02/01/2021 21:05

@ihatethecold I don't know how much the lipo cost me of that's what you're asking as it was part of the tummy tuck

The whole thing though was 8.4K. That included 2 nights stay in a private hospital (and more if needed) , the binders you need, all medication you're discharged with and all follow up appointments with my consultant

Lipo really DOES work but ye gods it's painful.

I’ve often wondered about freezing fat but I’ve never been able to find much information on it.
