Why do I do this to myself?

So I have been trying to lose weight for many years now. I have been successful over the years losing up to 3 stones at a time then becoming unwell with mental health problems and going back into hospital. Being drugged up with meds and putting it all back on and more.
Over the last 3 days I have been eating really healthily, think celery, cucumber and pepper for snacking and cod steaks, cous cous and broccoli dinners. But I'm bloody fed up of the stuff now and have just eaten cheesy bake beans on toast and creme brullee and sticky sponge pudding.
I'm a yo yo dieter and yo yo exerciser. A couple of weeks ago I was on my treadmill three times a day for four days in a row. Then I twisted my ankle and couldn't exercise.
Will i ever be thin again? Before meds I was 9 stone, 5'9 then after meds I reached 17 stone. I am currently 14 stone 10.

From what you say, your diet plan isn't suiting you. If you want to eat a pudding and cheesy beans then I'd recommend calorie counting.

And I hear ya. I was 15 stone 5 in February. I'm now 12 stone 11. I still have two stone to go

I've tried everything you can think of and the thing that's made a difference this time is calorie counting. Oh and I tend to eat between about midday and 7pm ish but I'm not consciously intermittent fasting. I note down everything I eat (nutra check app is the best!) and I walk about 15,000 steps a day. And that's it.

Not everyone can do the fashionable low carbing - it's useless when you want a bowl of pasta or a jacket potato! So consider calorie counting with an eye on carbs - you'd be able to start on about 1600 cals a day easily which would give you room to adjust as you lose weight
