Howdy Carbers .
I'm with you in spirit if not abstention (is that actually a word or have I invented a new one in my delirium? ).

Freshly painted wagon... check
Reinforced suspension... check
Positioned outside Last Carb Saloon... check
Lassoos at the ready... check

Oggs where have you BEEN??
FMCS are you a name change that I haven't kept up with?
Feeling a bit confused as up very early for a flight and also feeling all horrible and bloaty as easyjet can only come up with carbs...So while I am at it I am finishing off a bar of Cote D'Or orange chocolate.
Wagon rolls again tomorrow...

Helloooooo from a safe distance

May be back with you on Monday as my 'being sensible' moderate diet regime has bitten the dust. Am also heading for a cold I think and I am one of those unfortunate souls who doesn't lose their appetite when they are ill, but am unable to exercise

oggsfrog · 12/10/2007 20:20

Come on Orm...you know you want to join us really .

Katisha, I was being bad so I kept away from here out of shame. Back on track now though.

Where've y'all gone?

The only food I am managing to keep down is yes, you've guessed it, strongly linked to the carbohydrate family. However even bread and potatoes are losing their appeal.

If I didn't know I was pregnant, I'd think I was dying.........

Come on, cheer me up with some carboholic confessions - I was particularly amused by the malt loaf/lurpak story. I might try some of that later

Katisha · 19/10/2007 14:34

I am going to the gym all by myself and no-one on here can see me 'cos they've all gone away...sob...(Apart from emotional...)

emotionalwreck · 21/10/2007 13:32

Can only think that the winter has caused as sudden surge in carbohydrate consumption, and everyone is hiding until the guilt becomes too much .............

Keep it up Kat - I too am still managing to attend the gym (only for 30 minutes 2-3 times a week) but its better than nothing!

OrmIrian · 06/11/2007 13:15

Ha! Have you lot given up the fight???

I'm back, clambering back on the wagon for a while. I've made up my mind that I can't do it full time anymore but it's the very best way for me to lose the odd half a stone. I did OK being sensible for a few months but the munchies have hit with a vengeance again now - I want to be able to look a jammy dodger in the face without fear!

So. My own version of induction until this time next month to get rid of the mini-muffin top above my tight jeans and the comfy layer of flab over everything else.

Anyone out there???

OMG I've been so badly behaved.

I've got back on track (ish) with the food, but it's the wine I just can't knock on the head. Even today, a day I usually manage to be alcohol free, I had some wine, because it was open in the fridge. And that led to more ...

I have to get back onto the wagon. Someone please grab me and pull me back on!

Somebody make sure biwi is safely strapped in please! Not safe to be drunk on a wildly swaying wagon!

Doing OK 9(ish). Lost the munchies mostly. Don't know if I've lost anything else. I don't weigh these days but rely on inch loss but TOM due any moment and I'm all bloaty. Hoping some difference will make itself clear afterwards.

Managed a 4.5 mile run on Sunday morning. Going out again tonight but won't do more than 3 miles I suspect.

BecauseImWorthIt · 13/11/2007 13:53

Does anyone know how many carbs there are in celeriac?

Made a lovely dauphinoise thingy last night, using celeriac instead of potato - layered it with leeks and garlic, well seasoned, then poured a whole pot of double cream over/into it, grated mature cheddar on the top and cooked until soft. It was yummy. Actually it was so yummy that I think there must have been too many carbs in it!

OrmIrian · 13/11/2007 14:01

3g per 120g raw.

I can't believe it's so low in carbs, as its texture is so close to potato!

Good going today SS

I make loads of soup. But I don't worry too much about carbs as long as I avoid the real baddies. Chicken soup made with the stock from the carcase and some of the meat, onions, a handful of lentils for bulk and fibre. I do make a tomato soups based on the stock from a ham joint, lentils (again) and whatever veg I have...and chillies!

None of them are very lc TBH but as I don't eat them with bread I reckon it's still a lc meal.

Blimey had no idea the wagon was back in service!
Well I have lost NO weight as usual but think I am looking thinner due to going to the gym twice a week for the last 6 weeks (smug). Twice is all I can feasibly do. I really need to have an induction phase to shift some weight as well I think.

pukkapatch · 14/11/2007 23:32

i all, i'm back, but been through so many name changes, not sure what you all know me as. cylon i think?
anyways, i just cant stop eating..........
today have munched my way through a ton of peanuts, a sgood for low carbing.
weetabix for brekkie, as hey, must have some carbs, and healthy and quick.
then there were the cheese crackers mid morning as starving due to having weetabix for brekkie
and the chips for dinner as kids had it, and they were so warm and inviinting
oh, and the bagel with cheese later as stull hungry.

you get the picture.
seem to have lost my head, brain, will etc . need it back. dont know where to get it.
