.....I’m not pregnant 😫 mortified is not the word. I’ve never even been pregnant, but food and alcohol consumption during lockdown combined with a lack of exercise and a stretchy dress have obviously taken their toll.

SO EMBARRASSED. Tbh I think the lady felt as bad as me when I said - oh - I’m not Blush

This has got to be the thing that spurs me into action, surely.

Ahh sorry OP that's really shit! If it's any consolation I bet the lady will be having night sweats about this for the next decade at least!

Definitely ditch the dress!!

DonnaDarko · 23/05/2020 13:04

About a decade ago, I was wearing a floaty dress and someone offered me a seat on the bus. I was a size 10 at the time but they way it moved apparently made me look pregnant.

So it is most likely the dress more than you :)

I tried a denim pinafore dress on a few months ago. I took a picture and compared it to when I was 8 months pregnant.
I looked bigger now than when I was pregnant. I returned the pinafore dress!

That’s very generous of you @DonnaDarko but I think it’s definitely more about my belly. It’s really filled out at the bottom and in a tight-ish stretchy dress I can see why people might mistake me for 4/5 months gone and carrying low 😫 I’ve gone from a generous 12 to probably a generous 14 now but haven’t bought any new clothes. I actually want to keep the dress and wear it again when I’ve got my (flabby) arse into gear.

The shame....

Why oh why do people ask when someone is due without knowing for positive they are pregnant???? Just cannot imagine being so rude and risking really upsetting someone who is just a bit overweight.
