Has your gp told you to lose weight?! And how?

Hey everyone

So I really need to lose 4-5 stone after the babies! I know my gp would tell me to lose weight if we could see a gp these days...so if yours has, how did they tell you to? Slimming world or calorie counting have been what I've always used, but do gps recommend things like keto?

My Mum does Keto and her GP said 'I'd rather you do it slow and steady but whatever works for you'.

I know it's not mainstream GP advice but the absolute best way I have found is fasting - google dr jason fung re. the health benefits - great youtube videos about doing it safely. I'm doing alternate day fasting. it resets your internal metabolism, where as calorie reduction doesn't always do this. And once you get used to it, it's very easy. Whatever you decide to do best of luck x

Thanks, yeah I've been looking at the 16 8 intermittent fasting - might give it a go. I've seen some people combine it with low carb too - could be an option!
