I am trying to cut carbs not completely but very low. Plenty salad, fish, meat, berries etc. Wfh now and finding reach for bad snacks 3ish. They are in for other family members. I made up for the week 5 lots of snacks in tubs. There is 3 cashews. 2 brazils. 2 small apricots and a few rasins in each tub. My friend who calorie counts telling me just as many calories as a chocolate bar ! It might be but surely its better than chocolate and good for digestion. Any tips for loe carb snacks be appreciated.

Dried fruit is very sugary so definitely not ideal for a low carb diet. The nuts are better and, although calorific, they are very nutrient dense and not too carby (from memory of trying Atkins). How about hard boiled eggs?

Often with low carb diets higher fat foods are encouraged so you could maybe have veg sticks with peanut butter or cream cheese. I used to have pork scratchings as my low carb treat :)

Thank you Trashkitten. Boiled eggs great idea and the peanut butter. Gd point re the dried fruit. I will stick to nuts.

Nuts are very healthy but high in calories so I wouldn’t eat them when trying to loose weight. Same with dried fruit - regular fruit is best, not many calories in a handful of grapes or similar. Bananas are great - there’s a lot of fruit with less calories but I find a banana fills you up and actually keeps you going and gives you a bit of energy.
That’s all I would snack on if I was trying to lose some weight, if anything.

Remembering more things I snacked on now- cheese cubes or babybel, cold meats. I used to make little wraps by spreading cream cheese on ham and rolling up. I think there is a low carb forum on here or you could try instagram or Pinterest. Low carb is quite a specific way of dieting so general suggestions of eating mainstream 'healthy' foods like most fruit and low calorie foods aren't going to help you.

Thanks both for tips. Yes I know with keto diet low fat food is out. I think I just feel carbs bloat me. I did have a tiny bit of mash today with loads veg. Think mainly bread and pasta bloat me loads. I have a lot to get off .
