We have switched schooling up a bit which is working well. We do t try to have 'sit here and do worksheets' type learning.
This week is pirate treasure hunt week.
DD gets a clue which leads her to a worksheet/activity/task, completing that gets her the next clue and so on. This means she's doing maths and English every day and enjoying it.
Then we cover curriculum areas like history, geography, science, life skills as part of other activities.
So a walk, through the park doubles as a science lesson where we try to find deciduous or evergreen trees, identify the parts of plants, describe the lifecycle of a frog or a duck while searching for the animal.
Gardening is about history, what was it like in the 'olden days', what kind of food did Saxons eat, what did they wear...
And so on
There is still lots of telly time and playing but this gives us the education without the drama of full on strops.
