6 stone to lose. 19st and miserable

I've tried all sorts of plans. I have Definite binge problem. And alcohol. So I'm going to try intermittent fasting. No food from 7pm till 11am, two healthy ish meals and allow my self one sweet treat after my evening meal. Maybe a bottle of wine at the weekend. I'm going to go for a 45-60 minute walk each day.

Any support or tips would be appreciated, anyone in a similar boat?

I don't want to be too restrictive so I don't want to calorie count /watch carbs etc at the moment as I just rebel against it

As of this morning I'm 19st 6 and 5ft 9 which puts my bmi at 40

I'm disgusted with myself.

Dh and I have had sex about 5 times since my youngest was born 4 years ago.

I know the feeling 😅🙈 I got a take away last night 😭 tbh I just buy bigger clothes, I think metabolism must slow down at a certain point. It's absolutely nothing to do with baking. I made cookies, gingerbread and cupcakes today 👀
Slimming world is supposed to be really good, never tried it but know people who have had success.
Do you struggle with small portions? I find I'm not satisfied until I'm uncomfortably full and ready to burst 🙊

Yeah I'm a bit like that 🙈 yeah slimming world is good, but I think maybe is harder for me long term as I get fed up of making everything from fresh and all the washing dishes. Maybe I need to bulk make and freeze meals down.

Can I join? Started the year on 19.3, have been trying to eat Keto and intermittent fasting, got to 17.3 at beg of lockdown, was good for a week then it all went to pot around Easter. Ate far too many carbs, a lot of fudge and put 7lbs back on 🙈. Started again this Monday after a huge roast and cupcakes on Sunday. Have managed to get back to OMAd, day 3 today, I don’t find it too hard but I do miss the morning cup of tea(can’t drink it black unsweetend).
I love OMAd because I was originally doing roughly 16:8 as I’m not hungry for breakfast so it didn’t seem too much of a hardship to OMAd instead. I have a huge meal in the evening, copious cups of tea with cream and a few pieces of chocologic chocolate.

Hoping to rid the 7 quickly but I don’t kno I do it to myself after such restraint for the past 3 months. Doesn’t help on Sm where local tea rooms and other shops etc are advertising delivery of cream teas and fudge etc

If I can reach my target of below 17st by may 8th I’ve said to myself we’ll have a nice homemade picnic/cream tea in garden for VE Day!

@cupcakehurricane101 I could of written the same, I also have the same issue with the reverse dysmophia!

Gonna be honest witht you op, I dont think that kind if itermitant fasting is the right approach for you. Perhaps the 5:2 diet? What and how much you are eating is the problem. Not when. I suppose a five two might help with the 'how much' part at least... However, I think starving yourself some days/times may simply make you over eat when you can.

I would recomend slimming world or weightwatchers instead (not the meals, the program) And when it is possible again, join a group. At 19 stone you probably need to retrain yourself as to what you should be eating. A fixed guide and other ppl around to ask would help with this.

Either way, some things I found helpful: dont be afraid to fill up on whole wheat rice and grains with dinner. And go to bed early at night so you arent tempted to snack. If you must snack: grapes and cucumber worked great for me. Dont shy away from healthy carbs and grilled meats as veg is good but wont fill you up. Focus more on healthy eating than calorie counting. Oh and the most important thing- increase your water intake! Because if you eat more fibre and dont drink more water, you'll get piles.

Good luck!

Thank you wanderlust that's very Helpful actually. I think I try to be TOO good and end up feeling deprived and binging.

I found it easy to only eat during the 8 hours, but unfortunately during that time I ate whatever I wanted. Blush

Me too I’m 5ft8 and just over 17 stone. Husband is 6ft5 and less than a stone more than me and he wants to lose a couple of stone. I related a lot to your post. I have body dysmorphia too - I look in the mirror and look slimmer than I actually am - I always get a shock when I see a photo of myself. I just can’t stop eating at the moment though. I’ve been thinking about iF as I’m never that bothered about breakfast. I just eat loads in the evenings.

@StarsAndSnow dont be too hard on yourself. 2 years ago at 22st 5ft11 I started sw. From Jan-Aug i had lost 4.5st. I stopped going and gained 1st, but it's the easiest diet without starving yourself. I have since lost that 1st and am starting the plan again from home. You can so do this!!! I want to lose 5st more xx
