I don’t know if I’ve stretched my stomach, am Bored but I have my Tom today. Really struggling. It doesn’t matter if I’ve had a decent breakfast or not but each day by two- three pm I’ve binged first the last week. Anything carb related.

I cant seem to find my cause. Bingeing isn’t unusual for me but I had had almost half a year with it under control with the assistance of I intermittent fasting. For the last three weeks I’ve struggled.

I’ve peaked this last week. I can’t quite fathom why. I have my Tom today but today I turned into the usual food monster at two pm. It’s weird it’s the same time each day and doesn’t appear to be related to my carb intake. It was slightly reduced by 16:8 but my eating seems out of control.

All the kids (and step kids who love their carbs) are home and lots of sugary carbs food in the house which won’t help of course.

Anyone relate or can think of a way round my current situation willpower doesn’t seem enough!

Whats happening around that time of day?

Are you bored? If so, maybe plan a non-food activity to do at that time or just before.

Are you tired or lagging in energy? Maybe get a nap instead.

I would look at why you think its happening at that time and try and find something else to do then. I would worry about it becoming a habit and then being a thing you do just because you are used to it.

Ooh also has your schedule changed in the current situation? Maybe what you used to do around then is missing and thats whats causing issues.

Thanks Moonnoodles. I think tiredness is part of it, as at the same time I feel exhausted. This may be due to a routine change, now getting up early and going to bed later. We’ve started doing a covid friendly walk in the morning too.

I can’t explain it it’s a genuine I want to eat the house feeling, absolute insatiable hunger. I wonder if our daily walks are making me exercise more not less than usual and causing an increase in appetite. We go out before anyone else does to get exercise each day. Pre covid had been doing cardio each day outside of work hours.

What’s also new to my regime around this time is that I’m doing nothing I’m in, tired and often plan to work around this time(after lunch) but it’s been happening on my non working days too.

There is more of a general focus on food. Where as before i would get my own lunch at work now it’s thinking about everyone at breakfast lunch and dinner. Hmmm 🤔 .
