I have just 1 stone to go before reaching my goal - been same weight for months now! I am so good most of the time then I go and blow it by having a binge yesterday on top of 3 healthy meals I had 2 kitkats a king size twix large piece of chocolate chip shortbread and a packet of hula hoops all because I was feeling down! Then I feel more down as weight is not shifting. Please help me.

It's really tough when you crave isn't it? I'm the same I'm afraid but I heard a good tip the other day that when you plateau with weight loss, it helps to swap your meals around, so for breakfast eat your dinner, breakfast at lunch and lunch at tea etc. It speeds the metabolic rate up apparently.
It also helps a great deal to do half an hour of aerobic activity first thing in the morning before eating anything.
To counteract binging at night, fill a long glass with ice and lemon, slimline tonic and make it all posh. Have a long bath and munch on carrot sticks . Or invite people round so you aren't alone?

hi sunshine78

i have lost 4 stone intotal but have that last niggly 10-14lbs to go still, and i know if i dont lose it soon i am just gonna end up creeping back up and being bloater mummy once more!

I am gonna do weight watchers points for a month or so and see if i can just shift it - lost the rest of the wieght through being ill for a bit and then by doing cambridge diet, so for me, i need to be able to eat normal foods and just control the amounts. Have bought the handbook off ebay and might try the no count plan for a bit - i know a friend who really enjoyed doing this and lost lots.

whatever you decide, juyst go for it, if you've already lost some wieght then its just the last little bit and you deserve to feel happy about yourself. Just think, start now and by christmas you will be everything you want to be (probably sooner).

Hi, Sunshine, you sound very similar to me so i know how you feel. I too eat when I'm upset. Infact, i eat when I'm happy, unhappy, bored, upset so i eat a lot. I put on amazing amount of fat and my tummy is big now so what I started to do was - no buiscuits, white bread, chocolate, crisps, cakes but yes to peaches, nectarines, strawberries, raspberries - any fruit and veg including bananas and avocados so when I fancy my snack i reach fir fruit or vegetable. I can't say I've lost a lot but I feel more energetic and less tired. I now instead of my usual night snack have 2 nectarines and then 20 minutes or less sometimes of dance to my favourite records. It takes my mind of chocolate and a like. Would you like to join me?

Sunshine78 · 11/09/2007 09:20

I would love to join you fedda! I managed to be good all day yesterday! And like you I dance around my kitchen to the radio as I find it boosts my mood which helps with the chocolate cravings! Hopefully we can help each other and get the bodies we deserve!

That's wonderful, Sunshine. I'm more happy to dance then to do any other escersise and I feel more energetic after dancing to my favourite records, mostly love songs and happy songs. I like dancing in my living room, it's just more space there. I'm going to start at 10 when my DH is upstairs. I don't feel comfortable if anyone in my family is watching me. My treat is a glass of water with some lemon juice in it.

Sunshine78 · 13/09/2007 08:21

You know how to treat yourself! When I dance round the kitchen my DS looks at me as if to say what is she doing now and my DD laughs at me! Have set my self the goal of having lost this weight by 12 Nov as that is when we are off to centre parcs and want to look like a yummy mummy in my swim suit!

Good luck, it will work for you because you want it to work.

Sunshine78 · 17/09/2007 08:19

Sorry I didn't log onto the computer all weekend.

I've now managed a whole week of being good!

Hope you are doing OK. Would you mind if I contacted you by email?
