Eating too much in isolation

Hey, I have been isolating for seven days now with my daughters (4 and 7) and we are eating way too much chocolate and other crap. We want to lose weight not put it on while stuck indoors. Are there any good online work-outs or exercise programmes we could do together.
ShellsAndSunrises · 21/03/2020 18:56
From Monday Joe Wicks (the Body Coach) is doing a PE lesson every weekday at 9am, free on YouTube and Facebook I think.
Nofoolfornoone · 21/03/2020 18:57
I’m the same!! I’ve designed a morning work out I’m going to try and do in my garden 3 times a week. And I won’t buy any more unhealthy food - I just went to supermarket and all they had was chocolate! So I bought it... and shouldn’t have!!
Will be watching this thread for ideas..

Mine is a lack of fruit so I'm carbing it out
GrumpyHoonMain · 21/03/2020 18:59
Exercise is not going to fix a bad diet. Either Lock up the crap or finish it and then focus on healthy meals.
HackAttack · 21/03/2020 19:00
I've started YouTube, yoga for weight loss and I plan on doing some redecorating

I'm meal planning and prepping more complex meals now I have loads of time. While I'm cooking/prepping I'm not bored and picking so it helps! I also make sure to cook extras so I have ready portions in the freezer so I eat a proper meal if I'm hungry instead of structureless snacking. The biscuits and crisps have been planned for dc lunches and occasional treats so they feel less like fair game. I'm also doing the 30day shred and trying to drink more water / fruit tea.
vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 21/03/2020 19:01
ME TOO.
I'd been doing really well and the last 10 days have totally stuffed my face, proper bingeing. Quite enjoyed it, too.
Going to continue to stress manage over the weekend, then, on Monday, go back to MFP and not being a fucking idiot.
It's stress, it's ok to have a blip.
Aquamarine1029 · 21/03/2020 19:01
Stop buying crap food and it won't be there to eat.
TW2013 · 21/03/2020 19:04
Did a 5:2 day today, first one in about a year. Going to try a few as I will lose weight and not need to go shopping as much.
NamedyChangedy · 21/03/2020 19:06
This might be a good time to revisit your shopping habits, OP. Could you try not buying as much of those foods, or set things up so that your children can't access them?
slipperywhensparticus · 21/03/2020 20:36

EdwardNoon · 22/03/2020 11:50
Thanks everyone! Gonna start a new regime tomorrow. No more crap. Hopefully the shops will have a bit more fruit in this week. And gonna try taking the girls for a walk everyday. They are climbing the walls already. Aaaaah!
supercee · 22/03/2020 13:01
This is me. Have gorged on pizza and pasta and too much red wine and I can feel every bit of it, stupid me.
Back to work on Wednesday so going to make a concerted effort from tomorrow to get a grip of myself, stop using this isolation/distancing as an excuse and try and actually use this period to lose rather than pile it on.
I did do a couple of days of Zoe Wyndham Reade's (spelling may be wrong) videos on YouTube. Various ones of differing lengths and I could really feel it the day after.
vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 23/03/2020 11:34
Binge has ended. I have managed to finish the emergency supplies, and can't go to the shop, so, yay!
Did Joe Wicks with the kids at 9am, I think that will really help! Doing some exercise first thing sets up the day with good intentions?
Plus, not buying the crap. If we want to eat crap we have to bake the crap. That's allowed crap, I reckon.
