Typical day on low carb?

Just looking for some inspo really. I KNOW it works after even a week I start looking better and feeling more energetic. Got about a stone to lose which I know would happen quite quickly if I could just blardy commit to it !!! But I think the problem is I have about 4/5 options on rotation & I then get very bored. So if you are a successful LC what do you eat in a day? (And how much did you lose / how long did it take... just for inspiration!!)

Hi there,
I have lost a stone before on a low carb diet, it took me about six weeks as I did it slowly and am not good at portion control, lol.
I would have 2/3 eggs for breakfast, or 2/3 sausages, sometimes with grilled tomato.
Lunch would be salad with tuna/ chicken/ cheese and avocado, or homemade soup ( chicken and veg)
Dinner would be meat and salad or veg.
When I could afford it I would buy ready to eat packs of picky foods for an instant picknic; prawns, cheeses salami, marinated artichoke, olives etc just to keep it interesting.
It does get boring but I prefer it to being constantly hungry as with other diets I’ve tried.
Have you read Neris and India’s “ Idiot Proof Diet” by India Knight and Neris Thomas, it has good tips and recipes
Good luck😊

Breakfast 3 eggs with cheese or coffee with cream
Lunch chicken salad, tuna salad, all dressed in mayo or low carb dressing or picky plate of olives salami, cream cheese pork puffs
Dinner fried fish, stirfry with peanut satay sauce type, chicken and hallumi kebab, garlic prawns and courgette spaghetti, meatza or fathead pizza
Snack nuts or pork scratching or low carb bars, cheese.

3 months and i lost half stone and im overweight
Carbs about 30 to 40 net
Calories like 3000+

I firmly believed calories dont matter on low carb. I never lost appetite.

My advice is dont eat nuts and really watch your carbs. I love cooking so lots of low carb recipes use replacement almond flour or fake sugar, or nut butters.. thats not good as a weekly thing. I also would eat a packet of pork scratching every day.

My skin was clear and i was menally very calm and focus though and my period symptoms were so much milder and my hair and nails stronger and grew faster. I also had no bloating or gas.

I don't have breakfast because I am also doing 16:8.

Lunch is usually a big salad with ham, chicken and / or hard-boiled eggs. During winter I often cook a big batch of cabbage, curry-style or with bacon, to have something hot readily available.

Dinner is either grilled / roasted meat or whichever meat + veg stew the family is having (goulasch, chicken basquaise, curry, meatballs in tomato sauce...) + cooked vegetables.

Yesterday I had roasted cauliflower with onion, bacon and a little melted cheese. It was fantastic.

I am 30kg lighter than a year ago (even though I had a massive relapse last summer when I put lots of weight back on). I am hardly ever hungry. Lots of energy, better skin, sharper mind.

Thank you all some nice ideas. Im trying to combine LC with 16:8 to get things shifted! Legs feeling a bit shaky & headachey tonight, guessing just sugar withdrawal ?!

Breakfasts:
Full fat Greek yogurt, peanut butter, berries (if you like them, I don’t)
Omelette - ham, cheese, spinach, onion, courgette whatever you fancy
Coffee with heavy cream (cows milk is higher in carbs)
Fried tomatoes, courgette, onion with 2 eggs cooked in (had this morning)

Lunch
Tuna/egg/ham/cheese with mayo in lettuce cups
Tuna with left over roast broccoli, avocado, spinach
Omelette
Leftovers from previous dinner
Halloumi salad
Shredded lettuce, homemade salsa, guacamole, grated cheese and sour cream

Dinner
Some form of protein roasted with variety of green veg (DH will have baked potato or chips or something)
Pan fried fish in butter, garlic and lemon with broccoli and green beans
Pork chops with cauliflower cheese (just use sour cream and cheddar) topped with chorizo or bacon
Prawns or chicken satay with courgette ribbons

I pretty much have spinach with everything.
I started few weeks ago, down over a stone definitely had some angry sugar lows for a couple days but just be prepared with some olives and cheese cubes or something.
I weaned myself slowly into it to avoid any digestive upset and all been good.
Have also enjoyed a few glasses of wine at the weekend, stick with dry options.

My appetite is severely reduced and I’m enjoying it. Find it very easy as DH just gets a carb cooked to go along side it.
