Baby weight

I’ve just had my first baby & my body’s not gone back to how it was (7months a go) I lost quite a lot of weight when my baby was first born (was breastfeeding & probably not eating much). Not sure what I can do. I try and walk everyday but with the weather and a baby it’s hard. Plus because I sit around the house for the majority of the day I just EAT. I’m not even hungry... I’m just bored. How can I shift some weight and stop eating? I’m hopefully going on holiday this July & don’t want to look horrible in a bikini 😭

Any tips or weight loss stories for motivation are welcome!!!

I am in the same boat, my DD is six months and I've been dieting since December.

My best advice would be;
Download an app, track everything you eat and drink and note your calories
Weigh yourself weekly and write down your progress
Set a realistic goal
Don't deprive yourself, I have some chocolate most days and one takeaway a week - just keep track of your calories

Eating definitely comes from boredom so try and stock up on healthy snacks and limit yourself to a set amount a day.

Good luck xx

I am exactly the same. Had my baby in July and was seriously ill so I lost 16lb! But it’s just slowly been creeping up since and I’m now the heaviest I’ve been for a very long time.
Just booked our holiday for July too and want to feel good about myself so I can enjoy first trip away with DC and not worry about photos etc.
I’m starting with completely better eating on Monday and will be doing more walking. I’ve found some home workouts (for with a baby) on Pinterest so I will give them a go too. I think baby will love it which will help me be motivated.

You’re right though, it’s the snacking that kills you isn’t it. Once the weather gets nicer it will be easier to get out and about hopefully and we will be on track ready for holidays 🤞🏻

I’m increasing protein to curb hunger

Not getting near protein recommendations but weight has started to shift (finally). Find i’m so stuffed that i don’t really think about snacking.

My DD is 7m too, I put nearly 5 stone on with her 🙈 nearly back to normal now my tips are: slimming world, walk as much as possible, calorie count on my fitness pal, exercise dvd at home when baby is napping and we joined a mother and baby fitness class which has been great! Good luck!

I'm in the same boat! My baby is only 7 weeks old but he is my second and I never got back to pre pregnancy weight before getting pregnant again (19 month age gap) I've got about 1.5 stone to lose but I find it so hard not to rely on sugary foods to get me through the day and struggling to make time to fit in any proper exercise. I'm going on holiday in June and just want to feel ok! I've downloaded myfitnesspal... But not actually tracked anything yet Hmm
