Still haven’t lost baby weight!

Hi all!

I had a baby almost 11 months ago yet still haven’t lost the baby weight! I weighed myself yesterday for the first time since I was pregnant and was horrified to discover that I am 11st 9lbs, which is only 2lbs less than what I weighed at 40 weeks pregnant Sad

I’m 5’7” (and a half Grin), so this weight puts my BMI at 25. Overweight Sad Albeit only just. I’m still a size 12 but must admit that my size 12 jeans are starting to get a little tight.... I weighed 10st 6lbs just before I got pregnant and was very happy at that weight. I’d ideally like to get back down to that weight.

Admittedly my diet is pretty guff. Due to baby and uni ect I very rarely cook from scratch anymore. Most dinners are quickly-throw-in-the-oven type meals. I do have a slow cooker but it’s rarely used. Think I need to change that!

I used to drink a lot of fizzy drinks but have stopped them completely now. I’ve also stopped buying crisps and unhealthy snacks (my downfall is snacking).

I’ve looked into various diets. One that seems to come up at lot is intermittent fasting, and many people claim to have lost a lot of weight doing it. But is it sustainable? I really want to keep the weight off!

Any tips/motivations/advice would be greatly appreciated! Smile

Hi OP

I'm in a similar position! I'm literally 1 pound in the healthy range for my height. So I'm very close to the over weight. I'm annoyed as I bounced straight back into all my pre maternity clothes (I was very poorly throughout pregnancy and PP) but I've just ate crap for 10 months now! I just can't be arsed to cook either. I'm wanting to loose 1.5 stone. My clothes are very tight and I'm refusing to buy bigger sizes.

I've started the Alexandra Cane happy body plan, not sure if you followed Love Island but she's off there. It's £50 for 4 months access however, it's mainly calorie counting and HIIT workouts which you can do for free on YouTube and download my fitness pal.

I never knew anyone who bought it otherwise I probably wouldn't have bothered 😂 not that it's not good but it's nothing special IYSWIM.

They work in a calorie deficit so basically you burn more than you eat. Loads of people in the group on FB have lost weight and / or inches off their bodies quite quickly.

It's 300 calories for breakfast
400 for lunch
500 for dinner

200 for snacks throughout the day. A total of 1400 calories basic however, If you feel like it's not enough you can increase calories by 100-200 as it really depends on your height anyway.

A pinch of nom is good for recipes too.

Congrats on your LO & good luck we can do this!
