My digital ones give a vastly different reading when used on different parts of the tiled bathroom floor. Prior to that I had some mechanical ones where the dial didn't reset to zero after each use.
At Christmas I stood on my in-laws very old Salter scales and they reset fine - also they generally just seemed well made. I was poised to buy new ones but read through the reviews and some reviewers said the scales did not reset to zero accurately. I don;t want to buy another dud scale. Anyone recommend some they've bought recently which aren't too expensive? Preferably mechanical.
