Sertraline - Help!

I have been on 50mg sertraline for 6 months and it made a big difference to my mental health. However I have put on about 2 stone which is horrifying! I'm the heaviest I have ever been and appear to be putting on 2lbs a week which doesn't seem to be slowing down. I'd say I'm eating fairly 'normally' pretty much what I used to eat when I was feeling well. I'm starting to feel pretty down about it which is ironic given I feel much happier due to the sertraline. Anyone else had this experience and stopped taking sertraline and found their weight went back to 'normal'?

The sertraline itself isn't causing the weight gain. It can increase your appetite and cause you to eat more though, sometimes fluid retention is an issue too.

I've also put on a fair whack of weight on Sertraline and I'm on 200mg/day.

In all fairness a few extra pounds seems a small price to pay to rid myself of crippling depression!

I have also put on a lot since being on this. Have worked really hard fitness wise to get back to starting weight but can't seem to get past a certain point!
