Lost 18lb easily, have put on about 10 over the years, just creep up. Want to loose those 10. Started on Monday. I need a diet buddy, it really helped last time. Any takers?

Ooo I was thinking about Dukan again. I only did it on and off but it did work. I only needed to loose 1/2 a stone but now need a stone gone and I have no will power. Even if it just kick starts the loss then I may continue with calorie counting on MyFitnessPal. What's your plan?

I’m on second day of pure protein. Will do it until Friday, then alternate PP and Protein veg days until I’ve lost my target I guess. I prepared a lot of food on Sunday so I have a fridge full of protein if I need to snack. Bit dull but I haven’t felt full.
Breakfast: galette and smoked salmon, or hard boiled egg and smoked salmon
Lunch: chicken with lemon juice and mint, Vanilla activai
Snack at 4.30: crab sticks
Dinner: steak last night, turkey steaks tonight.

Won’t weigh myself until Friday.
Will reread the book to remind myself of what I can eat.
Fish for dinner tomorrow.

What’s your plan?

“I havent felt hungry” I meant

I think I need to start next week as will need to plan and shop. I think I have my book away! How do you make that pancake thing?! I remember ordering a strange ingredient. I thought of doing Monday-Friday pure protein. Then every other sounds good. I could do with some encouragement! Crab sticks are a good idea. I love seafood and protein in general 🤗

DryWhiteagainW · 15/01/2020 07:23

Galette is: 1 1/2 tbsp oat bran
1 egg
Spoon of fromage frais/yogurt (but mine are better without) I add a splash of water.
Monday-fri Attack works better for me.
I’m like you, I like protein, love eggs etc, haven’t really a sweet tooth which is why it works for me. Missing fruit though.

How's it going? I am making plans for my menu next week. Out of interest what do you have with your steak for dinner? Egg? I seem to remember cottage cheese and small gerkin type pickles bring ok? Also I have found some protein noodles in the cupboard.... thinking they may be ok

DryWhiteagainW · 16/01/2020 22:29

3lb down. I know it’s all water but it’s encouraging. Bit full of chicken/turkey.

I’ve made a dressing for meat.......fat free Greek yogurt, lemon juice, a spoon of mint sauce and some whole grain mustard. Nice.

One more Day of attack and then I’ll have some green veg , can’t wait.

I haven’t been hungry at all.

That's great. I definitely need some encouragement! I start Monday on attack.

DryWhiteagainW · 17/01/2020 20:04

It’s boring Rainy, I’m stuffed, but it’s working. Can’t wait for some veg tomorrow. Fill your fridge with lots of protein so you don’t snack on rubbish. I like the quick weight loss, even though it’s prob only water at this stage, it’s v encouraging.

Have you heard of bare naked protein noodles? I wonder if they are ok on the attack phase?

DryWhiteagainW · 18/01/2020 21:35

Really not sure. I’ve never tried them, guess they’d be good for maintenance part, but I think the whole point of attack phase is absolutely no carbs, not even fruit, those noodles have some carb I think.
I’m going to try them though

Right......I have a fridge full of protein ready for tomorrow! I will weigh in the morning (not that I have pigged out all weekend or anything)!

DryWhiteagainW · 20/01/2020 20:41

Oh it’s exciting. First week is a bit dull but very effective. Good luck.
What’s on the menu tomorrow ?

Yesterday went well. It is a weird feeling of hunger but not hunger! Today tricky as going surfing.....yes in January 😱 If not totally protein it will be for the rest of the week. The pancake thing was a hit. I used my daughters crepe hot plate and cooked it perfectly. How's your loss going?!

DryWhiteagainW · 21/01/2020 21:51

4lb so far. Had a veg and protein day, so nice.

Last night (protein day) I had a cod fillet wrapped in lean Parma ham baked in oven (pork not really allowed but I ignored that) v tasty .

Try the fat free/mint sauce/ whole grain mustard/ lemon juice dressing.....So nice on boring chicken

rainydogday · 22/01/2020 15:57

I may try the dressing on chicken. I was also going to wrap it in bacon! Oops. I have been really good today. Pancake thing for breakfast, prawns, cottage cheese for lunch. Probably salmon for tea. I did have a protein shake also to fill the gaps in. I struggled with needing something sweet with a cup of tea late afternoon and once the kids were in bed. Any ideas of a sweet hit?

rainydogday · 22/01/2020 15:58

Ps 4lbs is fantastic!

DryWhiteagainW · 22/01/2020 21:00

Ps did u say “surfing”? Shock it’s winter!!!!!

Sweet hit.......Activia vanilla yogurt. No sugar jelly. I’m drinking loads of sugar free squash because all this protein makes me thirsty.

So....I only lost 2lb, at least it's not a gain! So this week I aim to continue with the same breakfast, it says you can have lettuce so some kind of salad for lunch, then meat or fish and veg off of the list. Then alternate with a pure protein day. How are you going?

DryWhiteagainW · 26/01/2020 22:23

Went away for weekend but tried to be reasonably good. 5lb gone now after 2 wks, it really does work.
I’m alternating pure protein (M,W,F) and protein/veg now until I get to my target weight.
Well done, 2lb after the first week is good.

How's it going? This week has been tricky as I have had a horrible cold and craved carbs - I have caved and had a bagel with honey on and pasta as DH cooked last night.....feeling bit better today so back on the wagon tomorrow. Think I am around 4lbs gone.
