I did about 1hr 30 walking with pram per day. If I went to any groups with dd just took the longest route possible to get there. Also wlaked to local town centre some afternoons as well ( about 3.5 miles each way) It was combined with a watered down version of the Atkins diet though. My rule being no carbs after lunch.

fedda · 28/08/2007 21:39

Yes, I've heard of this rule. Does it help? I'be been walking a lot with the pram as well but I don't walk quickly enough and i absolutely hate running. May be i should try to walk more briskly.

Definately not strolling, more pramming!!! aim for 2 miles in 30 mins roughly or 4 miles per hour. Yes it worked I was 14st 10 after dd was born and got to 10st 10 until few weeks ago when I suspiciously started putting ti back on and became starvingly hungry!!! Preggers again! DD is 19mths

Walk, walk, walk
fast and holding tummy in. Kind of force leg forward and feel the pull on your leg
V hard to explain
I have tried every exercise thang known to woman over the years and without doubt I think that walking is the best
Good luck fedda

The plank. Have you heard of this one? It's best to do it in an exercise class to ensure that you are doing it the right way first.

You rest on your forearms and toes, keeping your stomach in and your head down in line with your spine. Remember to keep breathing!

Stay in this position for 5 seconds x3 and gradually increase the time you hold this position.

fedda · 28/08/2007 22:20

Are you here already? it's a small world!

Huh? I'm confused - Were you speaking to me Fedda?

fedda · 28/08/2007 23:57

margosbeenplayingwithmynoonoo. so sorry, I misread your name and assumed it was someone else.

That's okay - I thought you were a namechanger!

fedda · 29/08/2007 21:23

Actually, I wasn't far from it but I decided to stick to mine. I don't know about you but when I tried to find a nick name whatever name I choose was already taken so fedda seemed to be the only option. I rather like it now.
