Hi there,

I’m 98 kilos (almost 16 stones) for 5 feet 7. I’m an over eater, a binger. I’m a mum of 2 teenagers, working full time. I have tried slimming world then jumped onto 800 calories diet, then 5:2, then 16:8...I’m all over the place, all I can think of is food. I meal plan but I have 2 fussy kids who hate vegetables so I’m not always eating the right thing to make like easy as I’m out of the house all day long.
My problem is that I’m anxious, I beat myself up because I’m huge so I eat more, you the circle of hate. I don’t know what to eat, I’m all over the place.

sorry, forgot to mention, I'm 48 so you'll be fine!

Hi @Italianmoma1983italian

I'm also 5'7" and was 95kg at age 42, so very similar to you. I wasn't happy with myself and so I took myself in hand. I joined WeightWatchers — I needed that discipline — but there are a million ways that you can do it.

I'm now 52 and am 57kg; this is me before and after.

I'm an ordinary woman, with an ordinary life and an ordinary job. So, yes: you absolutely can. Lots of luck. It'll be worth the effort: promise Blush

I’m 52 and lost 2 1/2 stone since April. Slow going and not easy but eating hardly any crap and moving much more.

A heart attack gave me the kick up the backside I needed

Wow @NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace you look amazing!!

It's great to read about the "older" ladies all losing weight in their 40s/50s. I have truly no excuse.

Thank you for the lovely comments. I do think my user name is pretty accurate: love the legs but my face is nowt to write home about Grin

Good luck to everyone about to start a weight loss journey. It's completely doable. Feel free to message me if you have any questions (as a layman, that is; I'm a chartered accountant and not a health professional) Blush
