Does anyone take chilled green/herbal tea to the gym instead of water?

I've noticed all of my Pilates instructors take some kind of herbal tea rather than water, and I just googled it and it seems it has the edge on water.

Has anyone switched to tea? Any thoughts?

Thanks.

The edge in what respect?

Burns more fat, anti-inflamatory properties, free radicals and the like.

Probably does none of those things but if you like the taste it won’t do any harm and will do the job as well as water, providing that it doesn’t have diuretic properties.

I'm far too cynical to believe any of that! But I like herbal tea (hot) a lot and have all my life pretty much. If you prefer the taste to water then go for it.
