Have done this before and lst a bit of weight but my big problem was that i was with someone that would only eat take outs not things like rice pasta etc. I now cook for myself and son so should be less of a problem but i cant remember what the basis kitchen stuff i should have.

I remember that oxo are 1 syn each and that fry light is free but want to know the store stuff that is free.

Thanks hope this makes sense.

I'm not doing slimming world but have followed weight watchers for a while and the sort of things I tend to reach for alot are:-

tin chopped tomatos
oxo cubes
onions
pasta
rice
chicken and low fat mince
herbs & spices (curry powder, chilli powder, basil, corriander, mixed herbs etc)
tomato puree
lemons
peppers
sweetcorn
worceseter sauce
balsamic vinegar

with these things you can make:-

chilli
curry
spag bol
pasta with various different sauces
rice salad type things (or just flavoured rices)
etc, lots of other things if you have the imagination!

I cant remember what the rules are with yoghurt ie can it be low fat or does it have to be very low fat?

Same with cottage cheese too?
