6 week 20 pound challenge

Hello!

After having success with slimming world a few years ago I lapsed after having DS2 and suddenly find myself TWO STONE heavier than before I got pregnant! It's snuck on over the year but slowly so I didn't quite realise until none of my clothes fit! (Although I've only gone up from a size 10 to a 12 which makes me realise I can't go by clothes I need to regularly weigh in!).

Anyway in desperation I've signed up to an intensive 6 week bootcamp with strict diet plan...stick to it and I should lose at least 20 pounds. (I'm aware that around 5 pounds will likely be water weight and go straight back on when I "finish").

The meal plan is fine, not just chicken and rice but almost a cross between slimming world style recipes and clean eating if that makes sense. Everything weighed and measured.

I'm confident I'll lose the weight and be able to stick to it but wondering if anyone has done similar and managed to keep it off after?

My plan is to continue exercising at least 4 times a week (I'm training for the GNR and got a 10k run coming up so that shouldn't be too hard) but also thinking of joining slimming world and adapting the recipes so that I can have controlled treats whilst I slowly lose the last half a stone in the run up to Christmas then just maintain.

Does this sound do-able? Has anyone done similar?

I could have just rejoined slimming world but I think I need to be super strict to start with no wine, no kidding myself regarding "syn" values and also to re-educate myself on sensible portion sizes.

Weighed in yesterday and my first official weigh in is a week on Tuesday so hoping for an 8 pound loss to give me an initial boost then a steady 2.5 pounds per week.

I’ll do it with you! I want to loose 20lbs but 14 would be a massive start. If you are only a 12 you can’t be too heavy. A 12 is the dream for me

I carry it well, mostly on my thighs but still quite slim around the middle which is why I think I'm still a 12 especially as I wear mostly dresses!

The challenge I'm doing also cost me 200 quid HOWEVER I get that refunded after the 6 weeks as long as I've lost the weight...no bigger motivation! Lol!

It's basically clean eating and no sugar...no booze or anything!!

Day 2 and it's been ok but quite hard...I've been hungry but suppose that's not a bad thing!

what sort of things have you been eating?
I am wanting to lose about 3 stone, weighed this morning and have actually put 3 pound on Angry despite going to the gym regularly

Sorry just seen this @Tink1989 !

It's strict and everything weighed and measured. Typically eggs for breakfast, chicken and veg for lunch, fish and veggies for dinner.

But also bolognese made with 5% mince, bacon and lentil soup, Thai cod fishcakes.

There's a lot of variety so it's very manageable!

Week one weigh in today and I've lost over half a stone!
