I literally look about 7 months pregnant

I have got the most horrendous stomach that seems to store any weight gain and gets bloated at the mere sight of bread.

I eat reasonably healthy food....all be it too much, but in my mind, nowhere near enough to justify my stomach weight gain.

I feel bloated and depressed.....which is why I keep thinking ‘fuck it’ and then eat something.

How on earth do I shift it?? I’m on week 3 of couch to 5k but just feel like a sloth.

Bumping for you as I’m the same. I find reducing carbs has helped and, sigh, drinking less alcohol. I’m also trying the 16:8 fasting diet and working on reducing my stress as I read that increased cortisol can be an issue.

Are you uncomfortable? Is it possible you have some form of ibs (or crohns)? Could you try to restrict just wheat?

Chocolateyclaire76 · 28/08/2019 08:09

I do feel uncomfortable at times. I could try reducing wheat but I’m also v sceptical about cutting out food groups unless I have a diagnosis. Will try and cut down though.

Reducing carbs makes a slight difference too but still look pregnant!

Same problem here. I feel like some of it might be the fact that my stomach muscles have completely given up so maybe should do some exercise to improve their ability to hold me in but I also feel there is just too much inside me to hold in (if that makes sense). I've had checks for ovarian cancer to ensure the bloating isn't due to that. I definitely have IBS so sometimes it's worse due to that but in general I look 7 months pregnant even when I'm not stressed.

As above, stomach bloating is an ovarian cancer symptom. It’s very much unlikely to actually be that but since the thread on here where that’s what it turned out to be, it seems important to be aware.
