37.1 bmi, need to change!

I've decided it's time to sort my weight out! Before I fell pregnant I was always around 130-140lb, the top part of a healthy weight for my height, at the time I always thought I was fat but I'd kill for that body now!
I ballooned through pregnancy and now, 10 months after ds was born I'm 202lb and 37.1bmi!

My biggest issues are... Everything! Portion size, choice of foods, snacking, almost no excersize (other than taking ds for walks)

Any time I've lost 3 pounds I'd inevitably put that on plus another 2 within a couple of weeks so now it's time for a change.

I've decided to keep track of my weight each week on this forum, having it written where people can see it should hopefully help keep me accountable, wish me luck Grin

If anyone else wants to join in the more the merrier Grin

Date; 26/8/19
Weight; 202lb
Bmi; 37.1
Left to lose; 72lb

@lifesbetteraftertea

4lb in the first week is such a good start! Especially with a 10 month old to look after, I know all too well how easy it is to just grab quick snack foods throughout the day/ comfort carbs once they're asleep.
I look forward to seeing your progress :)

@Aurorie11

It's so good to know that typing on here can actually help people stay on track :)
You've done it once and I have absolutely no doubt you'll be able to do it again :)
Sounds like you've got a lot going on at the moment, feel free to have a rant on here as often as you need to

@KetoWithIF

Oh wow losing so much before excersize is amazing!!
I'll have to have a proper look in to the eating habits you've suggested but they do seem a bit strict for me... I realise I will have to be strict to come anywhere near my goal though :(
I'd love to hear your progress each week

Please can I join you?

Similar stats - BMI 35, need to lose 70lbs (or at least 56lbs - 4 stone). I'm 5ft 9

I'm going to do lower carb/MyFitnessPal/min 10,000 steps + weights/cycling/rowing at home.

I think it's going to take a while...

Well today is a complete fail with a mountain of domino's pizza... To be fair my husband forgot our anniversary so I wasn't in much of a healthy eating mood... Tomorrow will be better!

Started today (another 2lbs heavier than I thought HmmSad) with early brisk dog walk then eggs, cheese and tomatoes for breakfast.

lifesbetteraftertea · 28/08/2019 22:04

How’s everyone’s day been ? I had a very carb heavy day and could really feel my will power slipping this afternoon but have somehow managed to keep my calories in check, an achievement for me because normally I go off track so easily!

AiryFairyMum · 29/08/2019 12:27

Trying to keep up my pedometer steps and my calories down. Good few days so far, lost a couple of lbs, but put one back on so back to the drawing board!

IDrinkAndISewThings · 30/08/2019 18:41

Howdy all :)
Weighed in at 16st 1lb today, my first target for myself is to change my stone figure, so I need to lose 1.25lbs to hit my first target! Would love to see it for my weekly weigh in on Monday morning, but highly doubt it.
As a wee motivational thing I've been making friendship bracelets of an evening (knotting string thousands of times in a row is a great way to stop yourself nibbling at night I've found!) and I intend to 'reward' myself with one for every stone I lose, then when I'm done I should have a pretty visual reminder on my wrist of all my hard work :) Although I'm sure not picking up a size 20 anymore will be a better visual reminder 😁

IDrinkAndISewThings · 31/08/2019 09:45

Morning all, daily weigh in puts me at 15st 13.75lbs! I've changed my stone figure! 11lbs lost over 33 days, very chuffed. Rewarding myself with one of my bracelets - I put one on on day one, as a reminder to be kind to myself on this journey and not to beat myself up over slips - basically to remind myself to give myself the kind of advice I'd give a friend, instead of berating myself. This one will be for meeting my first target :)

Aurorie11 · 31/08/2019 11:16

Well done @IDrinkAndISewThings weigh in day is Monday, hopeful of a decent loss

IDrinkAndISewThings · 31/08/2019 13:15

Thanks @Aurorie11, good luck for Monday!

AiryFairyMum · 01/09/2019 09:30

Weighed in today. Now 14 10.5. Hoping to get another couple of lbs off this week. Meal planning and healthy shopping, plus more steps on the pedometer.

Aurorie11 · 02/09/2019 09:59

Starting weight 192lbs (26/8)
Today's weight 2/9 - 188lbs
This week's loss 4lbs
Total loss 4lbs
Target weight still to loose 59lbs

IDrinkAndISewThings · 03/09/2019 15:20

@Aurorie11 great loss, nice wee boost to start you off! And only 5lbs to go to change your stone figure :)

AiryFairyMum · 09/09/2019 09:00

How's everyone doing? My weight loss has slowed so doing a kickstart this week.

IDrinkAndISewThings · 16/09/2019 13:28

Things have stalled for me this last week or so, I seem to be gaining and losing the same pound and a half every few days! Have started a simple, low impact 15 minute YouTube workout today that I'm hoping to do every day, to see if that helps, and I've reduced my calories from 1700 to 1600. Still 9.25lbs lost overall though, so trying to focus on that!

SallyWD · 16/09/2019 13:31

Try doing 16/8.yoyll find a big reduction in your appetite after a couple of wwwks and it's easy to lose weight and keep it off.

IDrinkAndISewThings · 25/09/2019 15:38

How's it going, @Determinedtoloseweight? I'm at 13lbs off now, hoping to not blow it tonight eating cake and catching up on bakeoff!
