Losing weight but not inches?

I've lost nearly a stone but my measurements seem to have reduced by very little.
I'm working out regularly so don't think I'm losing muscle... any other ideas why this could be? Or am I expecting too much of a reduction in measurements for a stone?

You’ve lost more than two inches off your waist, which sounds about right to me. It may not sound like a lot, but 1-2 inches is usually what you need to lose to go down a dress size. So, it’s quite a significant loss!

@Crazzzycat ok, so perhaps it's my expectations which are too high! Not one single person has noticed my weight loss yet which also made me wonder what has been going on. 🙈
Thanks for your reply.

Those are good results and seem right in conjunction with the weight loss. Well done.
As for noticing weight loss - I found people did not start noticing mine until I'd shed at least two stone. If they noticed before they didn't say anything.
