What's the most weight you've gained on holiday?

Lighthearted! Inspired by another thread on here about how easy it is to put on weight without noticing it when you don't weigh regularly, I thought I'd ask what's the most anyone has gained on holiday or on a weekend away. I think I could easily gain a stone in a week if it was all inclusive and pina coladas were included.

7lbs. I literally didn’t think that was possible. It is. Blush

Oh and I was only gone for 5 days...

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 27/07/2019 10:07

1 stone. It was a villa type holiday and we had to drive to get the the beach. Plus obviously eating and drinking lots!

But the year before we had an apartment about half a mile from beach/restaurants and we were going back and forth a few times a day. I stuffed my face on that holiday too but came back lighter...lesson learnt!

6lb this year and no alcohol. I suspect my cake eating antics from the week before didn't help.

RandomMess · 27/07/2019 10:24

3 stone - I got pregnant whilst away Grin obviously didn't gain much by the of the fortnight...

Sweetdisposition91 · 27/07/2019 15:35

10 in 10 days in Vegas 🤣

Sweetdisposition91 · 27/07/2019 15:35

10 lbs that is meant to be!

RedLipsAndRosyCheeks · 28/07/2019 07:36

6lb in a week. It is disappointingly easy

Babyg1995 · 28/07/2019 11:04

I'm just back from holiday 5 days away and 7lb on really need to get it together Now.

hightymike · 30/07/2019 09:15

@redlipsandrosycheeks - you're so right it is disappointingly easy. Way too easy. It seems to boil down to the fact that even to just maintain our weight we have to be permanently vigilant and yet if we let ourselves eat what we want for a few days we gain a shitload of weight. As kids we could eat pretty much anything and not gain weight and then the rug is pulled out from under us once we hit adulthood and the slightest indulgence immediately shows up on the scales as well as on our chin/stomach/bum/thighs Confused

Yup @hightymike constant vigilance is required to maintain let alone loose weight!

Justmuddlingalong · 30/07/2019 09:43

I weigh daily when at home, but on my annual holiday all bets are off and nothing is off the menu. 2 weeks in Thailand resulted in a 7lb gain. Been home 3 days and 2 lbs down. I've got good willpower so I know that I can get back on the wagon after a blowout.

hightymike · 30/07/2019 09:58

@justmuddlingalong if I could choose a superpower, it would be to have strong willpower around food (and wine)!
