Meal plan/diet plan to follow

I’m 40, fat and can’t see the way anymore. Clearly my dietary needs are changing. I can no longer eat anything and just exercise it off. I also have a lot less time for exercise. I feel like I don’t know what healthy eating is and need to start from scratch. So I’m hoping someone can recommend a meal plan/diet plan/anything that will be like a reset button and get me eating well and losing weight. I’ve read about low carb/5:2/slimming world but struggle to fit these into family life. I also want to set the kids up with healthy eating for life. Finally, if it fitted with a plant based diet that would be great as I’m growing concerned about the amount of meat in our diet. Any suggestions welcome!

16:8 then? Fast 16 hours, eat within 8 hour window. Can be 11-7, 12-6, 1-7 etc.

I've lost weight and changed my eating habits with the hairy dieters cookbooks & logging my calories with mfp. They have some lovely recipes (though anything with courgette wasn't good!) Especially good was the land kebab and some of the curries.

I lost three stone a couple of years ago. It was boring but it worked...

Breakfast - overnight oats
30g oats
Muller light vanilla yoghurt
8 frozen raspberries

Mix together and leave in fridge overnight

Lunch

Lunch
Cooked chicken (from supermarket but you can make your own)
Salad
Low fat salad dressing

Dinner

On sundays I’d make a big pot of chilli/veggie chill or curry and I would alternate that over the week with chicken/beef/pork stir fry - big pack of stir fry veg and the meat. No rice or noodles.

Snacks - if I had them which was rare - were fruit or mugshots

Like I said boring AF but I did it for four months and lost three stone. I’ve kept it off for two years now.

Also when I started seeing results and so was ‘in the zone’ I got the ‘30 day beginner shred’ - has never exercised before but managed that for 30 days straight and it toned me up really well.
