My tummy is rumbling and I can't sleep. This is what I ate/drank today, does it sound ok?
2 black coffees
2 egg omelette with processed cheese slice, cooked in frylight with 2 slices of ham and 4 cherry tomatoes
Half a banana
Small bowl rice crispies with semiskimmed milk
Low fat crisps
Homemade cottage pie cooked in fry light
2 glasses of lime cordial and fizzy water

I use olive oil or sunflower oil. You need healthy fats to keep you full.

Runningonempty84 · 09/07/2019 13:23

Olive oil.

What is your weight and height? It really doesn't sound like a lot of food, if you try and cut your intake too much it will just lead to failure because you will be starving all the time :)

InfiniteSheldon · 10/07/2019 08:14

There's nothing wrong with frylight it's just a mix of oil and water so you use less. Turn the heat down and spray loads.

im doing the food diary ap and this is what i ate yesterday i was hungry goes without saying but im totally lost as to what to eat i work all day on my own in a shop so dont have time to make anything
50g fruit and fibre with semi skimmed milk
banana
grapes
2 baked potatoes with baked beans and cheese
thats it

PurpleDaisies · 10/07/2019 10:23

labazsisgoingmad I usually make a load of stuff like cous cous salad, tabbouleh, pasta salad etc that I can just grab in the morning and eat for lunch. I do enough for a few days so it’s only one lot of cooking. Do you have access to a microwave?

So far I’ve had avocado on toast for breakfast and done half an hour of serious weeding. I’ve got leftover bean chilli for lunch and pasta with roasted veg for dinner.

What you are eating is rubbish and not nearly enough food to maintain a healthy diet.

  1. Ditch all processed foods
They contain huge amounts of salt Swap your ham for mushrooms Use grated cheese, not processed
  1. Rice Crispies .. crisps.. hello..
Ditch them.. processed Use greek yogurt.
  1. eat 3/5 small portions a day. Cook salmon fillet, cool and add to salad. With olive oil. Boil eggs.. keep them cold to snack on.
Fresh beetroot for energy. Roast a whole chicken and eat it over 4 days. Cheese with an apple. Make lentil and red pepper soup. Chicken and vegetable soup. Cook in quantity and freeze. Basic nutrition, eat protein it makes you fuller for longer.

What Clara said. With bells on.

What calorie intake are you doing for? Sounds quite low to me.

If you up your fibre, fruit/veg and lean protein, you‘ll feel very different. For breakfast, oats with skyr (Icelandic high protein yoghurt) and fruit. You‘ll be shocked at the difference.

If you increase fibre, you must also increase water though!

Not necessarily. The two glasses of prosecco alone will be around 300 cals. Depending on portion sizes, the OP could easily be eating 2,000 cals there, yet having little in the way of real food.
