I need to know if there is actually a healthy reasonable diet plan out there I can follow. Need to loose about 3 stone. Tia xx

One that you can stick to and one that can be adjusted into a "way of living" for the rest of your life once the 3 stone are gone, without developing into an eating disorder.

I'm going with 3 healthy meals a day, reducing alcohol and sugar to a minimum, plenty of water and cutting out snacking (other than fruit or veg when I'm really hungry).*

Good luck!

  • n.b. I don't want to make out that I am some sort of role model for dieting.. definitely not! But after years of overeating/extreme dieting this has been my conclusion and so this is the "diet"I'm trying now.

I agree with the PP - small changes that you can stick to for life rather than really restrictive or complicated plans
Eg find a form of exercise you enjoy, make sure you’re getting your 5 a day, learn about portion sizes

I'm happy to do this? Do you journal? Or how do you keep on track and stay accountable?

I joined a thread on here. Before that I've just had a little notebook that I keep with me.

There is no one diet. Cutting calories and upping exercise. Portion control is key.
