Anyone remember the 'old' weight watchers plan?

Years ago my mum and subsequently myself, followed an early version of the weight watchers plan (before points). From memory I think is was something like 4 portions of carbs, for portions of protein etc. It really worked when I did it and I would like to do it again as I seem to remember it being quite easy to follow. Does anyone else remember it or have any information on what it involved?

Thanks!

I used a version years ago when my DD was tiny (must have been about 14/15 years ago) which was so simple-it worked well, the points were easy to remember. I got 18 points for the day and knew the value of everything.

When I tried to do it again recently, it had all changed and seemed so unnecessarily confusing!

Why do they change it?!
