Daily diet support?

Hi
Does anyone know if there is a service where you can get daily support?
I have tried big diet groups (SW, WW) but really feel I need someone to motivate me every day, and to be accountable to.
Weekly is not enough and though the SW consultant is lovely I know that they aren't paid much and feel that I can't ask for a half hour every day.
Ideally I want someone compassionate but tough. Does this exist? Thanks

I go to sw but just get weighed and don't often stay to classes. I had lost 4 and a half stone but piling the lbs back on again it is so hard and a daily struggle. I find being bored stuck in the house and evenings worse for me. The sw leader told me not to biscuits etc what I'm tempted with but I think that's easy for her to say that. I buy snacks for my children which sometimes I have them. I wish there was a what's app group or something for struggling slimmers.

I think I want something more than online support. I want to see someone in the flesh, and possibly weigh in twice a week so that I can't cheat. But I don't think it exists Sad
Having said that I have only just started trying online support (by signing up for Mumsnet!) so maybe this will be enough.
I have kids too and often eat things bought for lunch boxes Blush

I have just made an appt for the nurse at our GPs who can refer me to their Healthy Choices group - I think it is only weekly but I am hoping we could set up a WhatsApp group, and am also hoping for a referral to the gym - and it is free. I have a lot to lose. Maybe ask at your GPs?

I did 9 months online nutrition with a dude called Jordan Lark. He's in Oz but it's daily checking, weekly measuring & lots of advice.

Lost 10kg. It's all back now but that's because I'm better with a bit of accountability & had lots of other issues.

My food overall was improved by the experience.

He is pretty much always there if you need someone.

I am the same needing daily accountability - what worked for me was ultimate performance - expensive PT programme but great results as each day I had to send in a report on food activity mental well being and got immediate feedback.. would love to do again as it worked better for me than anything else

Thanks @Whatdoyouknowwhenyouknownowt and @Mankymother
I'll look up both those

I started Our Path last week. It is on line, but you can contact a nutritionist at any time, you are in a group chat with around 10 others, and there are daily tasks to keep you engaged.

I totally empathize Roseypeas. Losing weight and sticking at it is hard especially if you turn to food for emotional reasons. I find even with all the planning, healthy really yummy food I still scrap all that when I'm upset of getting home from work and looking for comfort.

Oddly it's not something I would feel comfortable discussing with friends. I looked into lighterlife just for their CBT apparently they do weekly phone calls with a CBT trained individual. So you don't even have to buy the products. I am unsure if any good, maybe you would be motivated by attending a group. I am unsure if they have a daily forum.

I'm also interested in this, a daily motivation/check in would be great.

Thanks all for your posts.
@MacaroonMama sorry somehow I missed your post earlier. GP gave me 12 weeks of SW free but I'm back where I was now. Hope you have success with Healthy Choices.
I've been low carb and doing 16.8 for the past 5 days and feeling quite positive, but in the past I have done well for a few days and then something happens and I go completely off the rails Blush

@Moanranger how are you getting on with Our Path. It does look quite good, I'd be really interested to hear - lots of great testimonials online.
@Feelingfortyisntfun I didn't realise that you can do LL without buying the products. I dismissed it in the past as I want to eat real food with my kids. Although I'm not sure that potato faces and spaghetti hoops count as real food Grin
I didn't find it helpful discussing it with others at SW and WW - everyone was too understanding and I need someone mean and scary Grin

Who far, so good. I am losing very slowly, but if you want daily support, this provides it. I bought the “no tech” package as I already have a fairly decent fitness tracker.

RoseyPeas · 02/07/2019 13:33

@Moanranger
I'm thinking that this might be an option for me soon. I'm detoxing from sugar and white carbs at mo but I know that I'll need extra support soon.
I weigh daily now, do you think that would be a problem? Also could you tell me if dairy is limited? That would be a deal breaker for meGrin

I dont know, really
you can start new thread with support

Moanranger · 02/07/2019 13:46

Rosey No, dairy not limited. Processed foods are discouraged and sugar is prohibited. Carbs are max 3 servings a day, and you are supposed to have 1 carb free meal per day. Portion size is only specified for carbs. I had a chat with the dietician about this, but she said if you were eating too much of something & not losing weight, they would look at your food diary.
You can weigh yourself as much as you want; ATM I am supposed to record my weight 3x a week. I would prefer weekly.

RoseyPeas · 03/07/2019 07:27

@Moanranger thanks that sounds like the sort of thing I need. I'm about to go on holiday so I'll wait until after that to start!
I think I'll probably go for the no tech option too as I've read a couple of reviews which said that people have had problems with tech and tech team taking a while to reply.
Other than that it really does sound like the sort of thing I'm looking for so thanks very much for the suggestion.

If you're looking for daily inspiration and motivation, there's a LighterLife closed Facebook group with 1,000 members and it's fab. Looks of CBT chat and honest and open conversations which are so inspiring. it's called LighterLife Client Support Group x

RoseyPeas · 05/07/2019 09:55

Thanks everyone. I think I've decided to go with Our Path. But I'm just about to go on holiday, so will leave it til I get back Grin
Thanks for all the replies, and good luck!
