So I have always considered myself fairly slim but after kids I have noticed my belly looking a little larger than usual....

I weigh 55.1 KG and my measurements are.... (I have a lot of lower belly fat so have done my natural waist and the biggest part of my belly)

Natural waist: 30 inches
Biggest part of belly: 33 inches
Hips : 38 inches
Thigh: 23
And I am 5’1

How tall are you??

Raffy2019 · 19/06/2019 15:29

Sorry, just seen you're 5'1

Crushedvelvetcouch · 19/06/2019 15:31

Size 12/14?

Firstmum03 · 19/06/2019 15:35

Would you say I am too fat?

I'm 55kg but 5'3. I'm 47 with 3DC. I don't need to lose weight but still have wobbly bits due to the fact I cant exercise. Some toning up might help.

Calculate your bmi!

BookwormMe2 · 19/06/2019 15:49

55kg is roughly eight stone, which sounds absolutely fine for your height. But it's impossible to say if you look fat without seeing a pic.

BarberBabyBubbles · 19/06/2019 15:51

I just did it for you. No, you are a healthy weight so you don’t need to lose weight but of course you may be that weight with a crap diet and without exercising. In which case I’d advise you to eat healthily and exercise!

Gigia · 19/06/2019 15:52

Agree that rather than lose weight it sounds like you need to tone up. Heavy weights will help and Pilates.

MikeUniformMike · 19/06/2019 15:55

55 kg is about 8st 9lbs.
It depends on your frame and level of activity as to whether or not you are overweight, but as you say you have a lot of lower belly fat I suspect that you could do with cutting down a little and doing a bit of toning.
It is easier to keep weight in check than to find that a couple of stones have crept on.

DottieLottie1 · 19/06/2019 21:41

You're not over weight but I'd suggest around 50kg to sit comfortably within your healthy BMI range.

loubielou31 · 19/06/2019 22:10

For good health one guide is that your waist measurement should be half your height or less. Your natural waist measurement is less than half (just) but the other waist measurement you gave is slightly over.

I would guess that you are similar to me and could do with losing a little weight but and doing more exercise to improve your general health but it is probably more about appearance than need.

@Firstmum03 it's hard to determine if you have excess weight by your measurements. Excess weight depends on body shape and age. I have sent you a pm so you can share privately
