To terrified to weigh myself

Sorry another weight loss thread from me šŸ™ˆ.

Mumsnetters, how important is it I weigh myself? I’m trying to lose a stone (of pure fat) and just can’t bring myself to step on the scales out of pure fear of the number.

I’ve been eating ā€˜healthy’ and exercising for 3 weeks now and feel better and think I look better, but obviously don’t have a clear marker for where I started or how I’m doing.

Any words of wisdom? Just terrified seeing a big number would make me think f### it!

Take your measurements instead

Use a tape measure instead! Or weekly photos?

Use a pair of jeans or something that's too tight as a guide. That can be very motivating for me- snd no scary numbers!

Good idea- I will try tape measure and keeping record!
